ABOUT ME

C'est dur de se décrire simplement, mais bon je me lance... Je m'appele Pierre-Alexandre mais j'ai toujours trouvé ça trop long alors Alex ca fait l'affaire. J'ai terminé mes études il y a environ un an en tant qu'ingénieur. J'ai testé le marché du travail et j'ai eu quelques expériences dans des grandes villes comme Montréal et dans certain petit coin éloigné comme le Labrador. Depuis peu, j'ai l'occasion et le timing idéal pour combler mon besoin de voyager, de rencontrer des gens. C'est maintenant ou jamais! Nous sommes partis, le 1er février, une bonne copine d'enfance et moi-même, avec un billet aller-simple en poche! Ce qui nous a amené à Paris, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Lille, Toulon, Nice et Marseille. Je suis présentement en train de continuer mon voyage en solo, ce qui m'a amené à Montpellier, Barcelone et une bonne partie de l'Espagne, Granada, Alicante, Madrid, Toledo. Je me suis même permis la St.Patrick's à Dublin!!! De retour en Belgique, je visite la Suisse, l'Espagne encore, le Portugual, et maintenent l'Italie. Ensuite, Portugal prise 2? Yeah! Le Danemark et la Scandinavie, de revenir en Allemagne, voir l'Autriche et continuer le périple jusqu'à un éventuel retour? Maintenant revenu au pays... le retour au travail est difficile.

Sociable et agréable, je suis toujours prêt pour une nouvelle aventure avec de nouvelles personnes. Souriant, ouvert d'esprit, respectueux, pas trop sérieux mais pas trop fou non plus. Bref, je crois être de bonne compagnie.

It's hard to simply describe myself, but I'll give it a try... My name is Pierre-Alexandre but I've always thought that's way to long , so Alex will make it. I've finished my studies in engineering one year ago. I've had some experience working in town like Montreal and even in some little place up north, like Labrador (Northeast territory of Québec, Canada). I've recently quitted my job in order to fulfill a travel dream and to meet new people. It's now or never! So we got off, a childhood friend and me with a one-way ticket to Paris. So we made Paris, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Lille, Toulon, Nice and Marseille. Right now, I'm continuing my journey all alone and I went to Montpellier, Barcelona, Alicante, Granada, Madrid and now I'm back to Belgium after St.Paddy's in Dublin. From there, Switzerland, Spain again and Portugal. Now in Italia and the rest awaits to be known... Portugal take 2? Yeah! I saw Danmark and Scandinavia, went back to Germany, visited Austria and continue this epic trip until I make my way back to Canada... Now back home and back to work... the hardest thing!

Sociable and fun to be with, I'm always ready for a new adventures with new peoples. Always smiling and open minded, respectful, not to serious but not crazy tho. Briefly, I think that I'm good to be with.

Le CS est une excellente façon de rencontrer des gens aventureux et trippant pour mieux vivre leur ville et leur culture. Pour l'instant, je suis moi-même en voyage alors disons que je surf et que j'espère pouvoir m'intégrer entièrement à ce projet et le vivre au maximum.

CS is a excellent way to find adventurous and fun people to feel the city and the culture to the maximum. For now, I'm on a trip so I'm more surfing than hosting and I hope I will have the chance to fully integrate this project and live it to the
maximum.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Au départ, je n'avais aucune expérience de couchsurfing.org mais j'ai passé plus d'un mois en Alberta sur un divan chez des amis d'un ami. J'ai ADORÉ.

Depuis, j'ai rencontré des gens de partout. Ils sont rapidement devenus des amis et j'entrevois d'ailleurs la possibilité de retourner les voir ou même de voyager avec eux avant la fin de mon périple en Europe. Maintenant de retour, je m'efforce de garder le contact et de préparer la prochaine aventure.

At the beginning, I've had no couchsurfing.org experience at all but I've crashed on some friends of friends place in Alberta for about one month. I definitively liked it.

Since the beginning of my trip, I've met people from everywhere. They quickly became friends and I'll probably visit them once again or travel with them before the end of my trip. Now back at home, I'm trying to keep in touch with my new friends and plan the next escape.

Travelled mainly alone for 8 months in Europe!
Las Vegas!
Worked in Northern territories.
Learned to surf (not that good tho...) in North Carolina and Hampton Beach.
4 years in engineering studies... this mean some hard times for my liver! And I've made it.
