ABOUT ME

I moved to Lisbon to study. I discovered that I like to spend time alone, but not too much.

I want to take my student years not only to study but to have new experiences because I believe that the cultural and human enrichment is central to the formation of a person.

I want contact with other realities, other cultures.
I want to learn everything you can have to teach me.

I like adventure, I like company, I think I have or at least I try to have an "open mind" but I think that as a member of couchsurfing is already implicit.

I've always been a little shy and sometimes don´t know how to relate with people I just met. I always tried to lessen this shyness, though it cost me a bit, I guess now I´m improving.

I like helping people and when people smile at me for no apparent reason. I like many other things that I can´t remember at the moment but that you may figure out if you know me.

Oh, one important note: my level of English is a bit bad (mostly talking/writting), due to my lack of practice. But I think couchsurfing is a good way to force me to lose the shyness and fear of speaking incorrectly.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I remember when I was a little kid and I say to my mum that when I grew up I will travel a lot, this desire remains. I want not only the opportunity to explore different places but also to meet different people with different habits, cultures and opinions. So far my level of travel is very poor, the only place that I was a foreigner is Sevilla (and incidentally, loved it, and I intend to return there one day), but I want to take now to begin to explore more places that always attracted me .

I want to travel a lot and meet many places by the outside world, but I also want to know my own country. It would be a crime not want to know my country well. I pretend to use the help of couchsurfing for this purpose too.
Whenever I have free time I like to go strolling through Lisbon. So if someday someone is also interested in travel around Lisbon, try sending a message; maybe it will happens that i´m available, but I cannot guarantee anything since I am a student and I don´t have as much free time as I would like.

Interests

Well, I like reading I like cinema I like strolling around beautiful places. I like to explore and try new things. I like science but I also like history, I´m very curious and I like to learn about different subject as much as possible. I may not have the best memory or being the most intelligent people you will ever know. I´m just a curious girl that like learning and experience new things and I think curiosity is one of the most beautiful things .Of course I like to know much more about everything than I actually know, I would like to speak more languages, I would like to have read more about history, literature and economy

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like many different kinds of music. I learned to like AC/DC with my dad, but I also like Eminem, Vivaldi and Celtic music. As I said before I like completely distinct types of music this was just an example, I like listening many more artists. In Portuguese I like listening Tiago Bettencourt and Xutos e Pontapés.

Movies: Cinema is something that I really like, I have a list of classic movies on IMDB I want to see someday. I like movies which have a end that you didn´t expect you at all, I like movies that make you thing or just movies with a original script that entertain you for a while. Till now my favorites movie ever is : "Shutter Island"

Series: "Breaking Bad" and "American Horror Story" are the serie I´m actually following

Books: "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" Milan Kundera; "For Whom The Bell Tolls" Ernest Hemingway; "Pride and Prejudice" Jane Austen; "Os Maias" Eça de Queirós

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This shouldn´t be the best thing I have seen or done in my life but now I don´t remember anything else. So, to me the best thing I have done is join to the Couchsurfing Community since its broaden my vision of things and allow people to have such enriching life experiences like knowing people from other cultures and share so much different life experiences.
