About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting People and enjoying Company

ABOUT ME

Sapiosexual, Cancer/Leo & Aries drive, overachiever in cruise mode. Looking for new decent friends for intellectual and creative stimulation. Drinks and conversation will work too. I have a lot of hobbies, always have. Fairly athletic in my early life. Navy career shorten by a injury, eventually bring me to Albuquerque to start the second half century of my life. So, I've arrived past that point I'll define as "full retirement" and try to stay out of trouble as much as possible. Lord willing ;-)

Places I've lived, in the USA include, Oklahoma City, OK , Chicago, IL, Millington & Memphis, TN, San Diego, CA, Kansas City, MO and now, Albuquerque, NM. and I've rode motorcycle in all those places! Besides enthusiasm for motorcycles, making gear for motorcycles or riding, I enjoy a wide variety of genres in music and art. I like a good diversity of varieties or varieties of
diversity. For just fun in the sun and travel. I like microbreweries, movies, music or art shows, staying active and alive. I keep a personal website at thunderchild.net that contains TMI FYI MOO.

PHILOSOPHY

As much as "all the world is a stage," so is "all of life a school." Aside from the formal institutionalized education or the learning from daily cultural socialization, life, in itself, is a continuous learning experience from birth to death. To a greater or lesser extent we may be aware of life as a school and the world as a stage; to a greater or lesser degree we may be a student in the audience or a teacher on the stage. Nevertheless, we will succeed or fail to learn the lessons of life; thus, we will perform or flop in the spotlight of Life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a space for sleeping, cleaning up, and relaxing. There is a bicycles that is available versus being close walking distance from City Buss Terminal. Close to "Nine Mile Hill" from the City, there is a very nice view of the Sandia Mountains and the City from the back yard. Wifi is available. We can share food with compensation on costs. Would be happy to take shopping and for help with cooking too. We can provide taxi services with gas compensation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only found a few places to crash in my life when I was on the road. I generally relied on finding people via a Amateur Radio, clubs, Lodges, craigslist and other online resources. I'm checking out the Couch surfing scene as a host and will surf later on during my next bike trip.

Interests

Well, the three top hobbies I'm currently trying to juggle are
1. http://KOCK.rocks an Internet radio stream hoping to go LPFM.
2. An art project called "A Crash of Rhinos" that I'm just finishing up, but has grown to an TimesSpace Panoramic series. So, I got my Art side covered for a bit.
3. Must practice more guitar! Must practice more guitar!

Music, Movies, and Books

I played the keyboards for a cafeteria during my high school years, so I have a wide variety of musical tastes, more so than others. (see above :-) for my audiophile side. )
Movie wise, I do movies in home more than out, but do like hitting the Cinema.
Book wise, that's slacked off dramatically since retiring. I've gone though scifi, fantasy, and lost of technical stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

that varies on the group. I'll show you my scares and tats.

Growing up, we traveled the country a lot every year. Dad being Amateur Radio got us involved in search and rescue many times (before FEMA was around) including the Estes Park flood in the 70's which is not far from where I live now. That continued with me through the Navy when I was the Chief Operator for the MARS station on base in charge of disaster preparedness. That's all given way to other hobbies and interest right now.

Teach, Learn, Share

Looking back now, teaching was always a part of or function of life and career. Just something that is done more here or there than what your job title was.
