About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Starting to get some financial stability for longer better vacations and make the world better for surfing.
I am a natural guy trying to keep this world organic and recycled.

ABOUT ME

Old hippie just keeping the faith. Done there and been that.
Caretaker of farms in Belize, Alaska, Arizona, and now Central Florida.
Great cook, mostly Italian and homestyle.
Once upon a time I was a boat captain, ground crew for blimps, environmental plumbing retrofitter, and network cable tech/installer.

PHILOSOPHY

"What man is a man who does not improve the world?"

Sing a bar of "Alice's Restaurant" to ease your soul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmyXTOHC3w8&feature=related .
Arlo Guthrie: son of Woody Guthrie; who wrote the song "This Land Is My Land, This Land Is Your Land" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaI5IRuS2aE

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Getting others to see the beauty of nature in a rural setting where manners and values are a premium through hosting. Trying to get the hippie movement restarted to change the world to a better greener place. I offer travel experience and "know how" of the Northwestern Hemisphere even though I do not agree totally with out of control Capitalism and tips on cultural oddities found in developing nations . I have extensive knowledge of many USofA cities and wilderness parks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hostels and hitchhiking (some of it on boats and planes) stories galore - perhaps around the campfire in the back yard.
I have hosted many surfers from many cultures and all have said my home is comfortable and welcoming.

Interests

Outdoors of course.
Cooking, wine, festivals, music, computers, sailing.
I do not party or bar hop prefering to enjoy a good wine with friends at home or on my sailboat.
I do not watch any sports.
I garden and yard work when not on the computer or actively expressing my disdain of the US Government's war against healthy foods not produced by a corporate lobby group. I have a library of Anti-GMO and political evil-doings documentaries.
