About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the world

ABOUT ME

I am very social, always need to make people laugh and I laugh as I find life is just a joke :) Seriously, being very optimist and positive almost all the time. Love reading and learning new things and have to experience everything by myself. I'm a city girl rather than a village one and usually cook weird but very nice food and my weakness is the strategic board games (Catan, Tikal, etc). Open minded and constantly exploring and learning the world, patient and tolerant.
A little bit more about me? I'm Gemini so in one hand I'm shy, quiet and reversed but once I'm warmed up in a situation then become outgoing, chatty (which means I don't talk just for the sake of talking but if there is something relevant to say I say it, otherwise love talking), love making people laugh - so can't miss an opportunity for a laughter :) very social, I feed on human interactions, but love being by myself as well, am a real bookworm and love European, non-mainstream movies, love running but I smoke sometimes (now on and off), love walking or doing anything outdoors, sometimes I play badminton and that is always fun :)

Studied social sciences and now do IT project work, but in real am a social sciences person. If I started from scratch now, would probably go for being a journalist or staying on university and participating in social anthropology research. However, am happy now where I am and with what I do, so not complaining!

PHILOSOPHY

Laughing is the most important thing in this world. And the next is to experience everything you can by yourself, that is what I'm progressing with. And then the balance, between being part of a crowd and being by yourself, not lonely but in the best company: with yourself. And finding the answers by paying attention.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

coffee/pub/anything outdoors, live music or just cooking weird food :D Inviting folks over for wine/cheese/spinach Madeleine/Hungarian shots. And afterwards going dancing! And of course, making everyone laugh - even just for a second :D Now been through my first comedy gig, so ready to make people laugh from the stage :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted friends and surfed friends couch whom I knew outside of CS which is not the same but a little similar. Also involved in the local CS community and hosted friends via that community. Now I have hosted a couple of people via CS and that was a great experience, it's only the start!

Interests

books, rock, pop and classical music, particular tv series (This life, 24, The good wife, The big bang theory, Suits, Newsroom, The West Wing etc), anything regarding the contemporary society, certain psychology subjects, family dramas, etc.

I love getting to know new people and then make them laugh, like cooking with wine and music, or going out dancing in the famous Pink Punters, long country walks or bike rides and badminton! Love talking about human behavior, personality, culture, relationships, connection and person-centred counselling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hal Hartley ones from the 90s
12 monkeys
Smilla
Zafon - The Shadow of the Wind
I could go on, just have a look at my bookshelf :D
Have not read that much recently, since am involved in the socializing part much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen amazing parts of the world in the US, in New Zealand and Australia, or Switzerland. Maybe one to mention was the Sydney Museum showing how the White treated the Aboriginals, in the 20th century and that was truly shocking. It was only ceased at the 70s...very recently!!
I'm a very good listener and could help you see things from a different angle - another perspective is always very useful!

Teach, Learn, Share

Who have a positive attitude on life, who are patient and open minded. Who are interested in life and what's happening in the world around us and have an opinion but at the same time tolerant. Who are paying attention to others and able to participate in a conversation, rather than taking it over.

A recently discovered skill: I can teach salsa! I love dancing but have not been for a while, this is great motivation to start going again!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
