I have lived and worked in Europe for the last 23 years. Mostly Italy but Germany too for 4 years.
I am by lingual English/Italian. Enjoy good company and having visitors to my home in Wales. Love to travel in Europe.
Enjoy bike riding around Swansea bay and swim daily in the local pool.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS but hope to participate and to encourage more senior citisens in the UK to join up. We have free bus passes here in the UK so it would be a wonderful way to share our homes accross the UK and get to know eachother better. I would like to suggest this through the U3A. First in te UK and then France and Italy where I have a lot of contacts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to participate as I am new and learning about CS before dipping my toe into the water. My first venture will probably be to London where I should like to go more often.

Interests

Arts,History, Exhibitions at the Royal Accadamy. Music, Opera. Meeting new people. cooking for my friends and collecting recipies from friends.
Love being home or away.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite book of all time was The Bridges of Madison
County. I loved the film too but the second book sealed the deal for me . A Thousand Country Roads.
I love classical music and soul. Most music is pleasant to my years - Love Hip Hop and Street Dance Films. Shall We Dance touched my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just visited 'The Real Van Goch' Exibition at the Royal Academy in Piccadilly London.
It is the Man His Paintings and his letters to his brother and contemperaries. It is so touching to see the care and devotion he had to both his work and his brother. His letters are so beautifully illistrated with his brilliant sketches. It is a must be seen event'

Teach, Learn, Share

I taught English as a 2nd Language for many years and enjoy hosting summer students who come to the UK to improve their English. This is how I earn a crust or 2.
