About Me
CURRENT MISSION
the only thing better than good food or good conversation is both at the same time
ABOUT ME
Just moved to Toronto. I love to read, get outside, and explore. I will try pretty much anything once.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I travel, it's always great to share food/drinks/great conversation with my hosts. When I'm at home, it's always fun to host people and learn about where they come from.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am so appreciative of the amazing and unforgettable experiences that wouldn't have happened without couchsurfing! Here are a few:
--spelunking in the caves of the Dordogne valley
--having a dinner party in the catacombs of Paris
--going to a "naturalist" swim in the middle of London
--after arriving in Istanbul at midnight, my host having bailed me at the last minute, I met someone on the bus who was Coushsurfing and their host took me in! Couchsurfing miracle!

Music, Movies, and Books
i like all kinds of stuff...
Music: blues, jazz, rock, bluegrass, funk, hip hop, slowly getting into classical
Books: on the road, faulkner, hemingway, DFW, atlas shrugged, non-fiction
History: especially realizing how little humans have changed
Art: I once went to the louvre 6 days straight
Philosophy: i like big ideas
Movies: all kinds. recently i saw West Side Story and it was fantastic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed in a 650 year old house in the French countryside for a few months. We raised sheep, cleaned the horse stables, and went hunting on horseback (me on a bike) with a contingency of hounds. It was like living in the middle ages.
Teach, Learn, Share
What makes Couchsurfing so special is how it enables you see the world through someone else's eyes.
If you're interested, I could try to teach a thing or two about music, cooking, or literature. That said, I enjoy learning more than teaching. However, sharing - especially funny stories and rollicking adventures - is my favourite.
What I Can Share with Hosts
You are awesome for being so generous. I make a sincere effort to be an appreciative and engaging guest. I am more than happy to chip in, be it cooking, cleaning, or something random.
