ABOUT ME

Well my name is Hil and I'm 25 years old. I don't know quite what to do with my life yet, but I know that I love travelling and dont see an end in sight anytime soon.
I am an artistic person and when I'm home saving money to travel again you can usually find me on my bedroom floor, listening to music and gluing, cutting or drawing something.
I'm so thankful to be from BC Canada, I think it is so beautiful here and would reccommend anyone visiting Canada to make sure BC is on the top of their list. There are so many amazing secret spots to find just by asking around.
I am a huge music and festival fanatic, Some of the best experiences of my life have been in a crowd of a thousand people under the moon or in the sunshine listening to an amazing band.

PHILOSOPHY

Life and humanity are beautiful, even though it can get hard sometimes there is always alot to be thankfull for. Travelling makes me realize that day after day. Alot of people say that people go travelling to find themselves but I think people go travelling to become the person they are meant to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in Thailand with my best friend and she impulsively made the decision to go to Australia after south east asia. So I agreed and we got our visas, booked our tickets. Then a week or two before we had to go my best freind decided that she doesn’t have enough time to go to Australia because she was going to go to school in the fall.
So now I was going to Australia knowing absolutely no one (which I wasn't too scared about but I did have only $300 to my name) Someone told me about couch surfers and I met two lovely ladies from Brisbane and they took me out around town and showed me a great time and we are still friends to this day.
It was great to see a smiling face even though you have never seen them before, we were instantly freinds and I was very grateful that couchsurfing existed.

Interests

I love meeting new people and seeing different cultures. I love being blown away by a colorful street or exotic smells, communicating by just smiling and hand gestures.
I like sitting on benches and people watching. I love nature and the color green. Writing, taking pictures, big trees, drawing, music. Getting goosebumps from seeing a great live band. Summer festivals. Having coffee and reading the newspaper. Duck-diving into oncoming waves. Snowboarding, looking out windows, sunshine, adventures, solving puzzles, laughing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all sorts of music, I love reading, Pyschology. I think the best books are books you find or books that people give you. I really love music and constantly need it to not go crazy. I Love cult movies, funny movies and horror, artistic ones that make you think and movies that have beautiful cinematography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ive seen lots of crazy and beautiful things over the years. Had some amazing adventures and met amazing people. But I can't really narrow it down into one story unless im telling it in person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think everyone has their own belief on what life is.
I think that people can have many lives, be many different people. I don’t see my life consisting of working and then coming home and going out on weekends. I think that there is so much in this world to be seen and to experience and that time is slowly running out to do it.
In the end though, you can have any life and believe anything you want, its just whatever makes you happy.
