About Me

Paid for the subscription. Below is a legacy write-up mildly edited over the years. Currently living in Narrabri NSW, with my Girlfriend Louise, a stumpy tail cattle dog named Kevin and three chickens. We likey have a real bed instead of a couch these days.

CURRENT MISSION

Buy the ticket take the ride.... do a tranatlantic crossing on a sail boat hitch hike to New York and do it all on boradway baby!!! and help some people on the way and keep the ego under control....( this mission is a work in progess.... Currently bound for South America, 2015) (currently working as a school counsellor, scholarship 4th year psychology 2018) (noticed my couch summary had private room since the dawn of time.... nope, all couch, 2019)

ABOUT ME

Once was weekend warrior, now occasional weekend battle axe, yet the dust from the mind takes some time to rattle off of the ole noggin, that one prefers not to dabble in the poison too much these days....not too much. I dance on tour, and i dance well.

Currently, i am looking for fellow spiritual warriors to share yoga or meditations with, magik, myth, acting, cooking, Spanish or some good ole historical cultural conversation.

If you are passing through drop by, be gnarly to catch up .

Down with any kind of peeps as long as you respect space, opinions and share easily.

PHILOSOPHY

Play nice, share your toys, include everyone and pack up when you're finished. A life lived with integrity, with courage and with as little unnecessary responsibility as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

A few of my remembered ones---- He died with a falafel in his hand by John Birmingham. Snow Crash Neil Stephenson. (Scifi adventure anthropological futuristic madness) Where's Wally. Notes from the Under Ground. Dostoevsky. Fist Circle Solzhenitsyn , Kafka, (wow....these guys changed my head a little) The classics are getting a spin lately.....Don't Tell mum i work on the rigs she think i'm a piano player in a whore house Michael Carter(not a classic, but potential
I love reading but get scared of the selection..usually read things my mates recommend or i read good reviews about.

Music...as i age i like instrumental more...Bonobo and stripped back hip hop..think dub fx is pretty amazing..queens of the stone age get a pretty heavy sip, oasis were too, beruit, nouvelle vague, explosions in the sky, bliss n eso, thievery corporation, atmosphere, the music, miles davis, garth brooks, fleet wood mac, hendrix, depeche mode .... but generally anything from dark break beats, old skool grunge, nw skool minimal tech, country music and folk..... location and atmosphere combined with poeple ....makes the music all that more tasty....i do dig a good live gig or festival with shoes off running about like a child of the earth.

Movies....NEVER EVER EVER watch Cannibal Holocaust! I cried in Forest Gump and The Lion King. I enjoy anything that prickles your senses and doesn't make me feel like my intelligence is regressing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed a 50 foot yacht from Marseilles in France to Split in Croatia ....i had sailed about 4 times in my life before this and never open the open sea... turned out it was only me and the Capt floating this boat there. Epic!!!!

The europeen adventure part 1. Finland-Turkey via the eastern block. wow!!! Hitch hiked deep into the arctic circle in finland....but chickened out of the solo hiking as all the leaves on the trees had died. Spent several days in darkness cruising clubs in berlin listening to experimental techno music and getting up to date on a reasonable piece of history that shock the world as we know it. (i didn't study history at school)

Seeing trees i have planted years ago growing into bigger trees.

Vipassana 10 day silent Meditaion.... the mind the last frontier.

Exit Festival In Serbia. So much fun. Was so knackered i fell asleep in the departure area of our Lufthansa dlight, when the airbostess shock me awake, 200 people were gone, is a panic i ran onto the plane, only to see the lady who i had slept at her feet was Missy Elliot. I had quite the giggle.

Going to Gnaraloo station and checking out the Ningaloo reef with a couple of crazy Spanish amigos, snorkling on the reef .... Good times.

Growing up on a farm and having 3000 hectares to play on....and all the mischief under the big bright sun.

Being a festival fun bag and seeing heaps of awesome live music. ...oh and volunteering at festivals...meeting heaps of wicked peoples.

Hitch hiking around Ireland.....

Hiitching about Europe...... don't knock the Frecnh, easiest country in the world to hitch in.
<

Going to the OBH on Sunday afternoons and watching the sun set over the Indian ocean and not feeling guilty at all that Monday is a work day.

Tilling the earth and watching the farm grow..

Theatre.

Completing my ashtanga yoga teacher training certificate in Goa with a whole bunch of super humans!

Teach, Learn, Share

Personally i have a mild depth of knowledge on a wide birth of subjects, i'd like to deepen and spread the knowledge base.

I grew up on a cattle, wheat, pig, sheep and cotton farm and i have a degree in Agribisness....I worked as a research economist for the department of agriculture and food of West oz, i worked as a quarantine inspector for the federal government for a while, a am a qualified and occasional practising high school teacher, i worked in boarding schools as a house master, i worked as a valet car park attendant...(yes we drove them like we stole them NEVER leave your car in one of these places...but god it was fun)... i have lots of friends who are engineers in the mining industry in Australia...... so much science and getting all the 3rd world to middle class....equality for what end?

This farming back ground makes me wonder about population growth and need to feed an ever growing world population self sufficiency and environmental issues intrigue me greatly.

Permi-cultures and surviving off produce that grown from season to season would be great. How effective this would be on a global scale with mass mono cultures and use of toxic chemical deludes me and i am searching for people places who have effectively been doing it for seasons upon seasons. Some us of chemicals is not avoidable in my eyes...water is H20 a chemical.... but the use of inorganic chemicals can be far far far reduced....at mass production level how?

Design and behaviour are things i like learning about. The practicality of material goods and what service they hold in our daily lives. Design that has beauty and is not just part of the product life cycle and corporate planned obsolescence.

I'd love to learn how to sail and more about the seasons.

I love theatre, i would love to one day produce a two hander play involving a run in between a dude who was raised by the merry pranksters and some form of religious door to door salesmen.

Urban culture in Australia is there, but i find it somehow difficult to access and maybe having travelled about the globe i'd love to find some here and therefore finding access to it back in oz a little bit easier.

Science and new discoveries, i'm a bit of a random information fact finder.

Music...any kind as long as you play it from the HEART! I love music but i am such a lazy scum bag in following up with names of songs and artists....instead i have been blessed with a selection of friends who have impeccable taste of music and continually bombard my ears with sensational auditory delights.....i'd love you to do the same.

Nature, camping and meditating and getting back to nature. I grew up among the trees of the creeks and rivers....wondering who they felt and what was the reasons they twisted this way and that, who they were home to and why they feed us 02...... i appreciate learning about peoples favourite natural beauty places.

Mythology everyone has a personal mythology to get them through the day today mental mundane madness, what's yours?.... if you mention you fav myth in your request it will indicate you have read my profile.

So........ i think thats a bit more of my interests and my past, but these are the thoughts that continue to fill my mind..... and i guess i have a thirst to know more about the things.

I also like cooking and caring for people and helping out.....i like sharing this way too.
