About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Surrender to what life throws at me

ABOUT ME

I'm a little bit of everything and open to almost anything. I try to see everything as an invitation to open my heart more, to love more. Its a hard practise;) and I tend to forget it once in a while. My main interests are meditation, nature, old philosophy 's, spiritual development, love, sexuality, psychedelics, shamanism, death, music and bunnies. I love the rough, the edges, the weird, the unusual. And beer sun and beach also make me happy. Underneath more of older me's:) I have worked in education, mental health care and am a stonemason by family trade (shit with marble& granite ) love to connect about that as well.

Little bit provocative but innocent. Try to be as genuine and open as possible. Something I really appreciate in other people as well. The bad thing about growing up is that you tend to forget the way you saw the world as a little child, just be:)
Right now I am Teacher/ Stonemason in Amsterdam.
I spend one year in Australia and hitchhiked true South East Asia,, China, Nepal and India. I had Pakistan and Iran on my list but after 1 1/2 year, with no visa, dried funds and a bit of homesickness I decided to go back. It was just me and a little tiny backpack and no plan except heading west. Hope to hitchhike as much as possible, sleep on the streets as much as possible and shave my beard when I arrive in Turkey:)
I am from Utrecht the Netherlands, 10 points if you know it. Lived and studied there for quit a wile, with and without success:) So after finally burning al my books I got back to stone masonry and worked at my family's company. But after a while decided to burn the rest of my stuff as well:) worked in Australia for a year, now going home and after that start a revolution somewhere or go and work on a fishingboat in Alaska.

I'm relaxed in a "see where the wind blows' way. But not in a "see where the weed blow takes me" way. Like to explore and meet new people like everyone here on CS. I am an bruine bonen dish expert (Dutch cuisine) Play rugby, I don't now if I like league and footy jet.
I love cycling, especially in the mountains. That's why a love Holland... . I still want to become a kitesurf teacher:)
Unfortunately I left my inflatable polarbear suit at home, but nevertheless you can always wake me for any kind of costume party. And also I appreciate a good dance ( techno, minimal) party once in a while.
But on the other hand I a like good talk and a nice discussion about anything. And also visits to a museum, I love contemporary art, and if there are any works of Lucian Freud, Hundertwasser of Giacomo Balla you have to let me know.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't make life to complicated. So wie es ist, bleipt es nicht. Don't fall a sleep, follow change, and believe in fairytales. Love your fears and hit them. Never let the little boy in you die. Don't run around naked to often. End up in weird situations. And when I am old and dying I hope to blow up a dictator with a grenade.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Usually I sleep on the streets, so this might set the luxury level a bit upwards ;). Love organising stuff and everywhere I go I try to meet some CS'ers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On my trip in Brazil I have met some great CS people. Loved the Australian CS scene and made some friends for life there.
