About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life to the fullest, meet new people, host and travel

ABOUT ME

We have lived in this beautiful location for about 7years and continue to enjoy the beauty around us.
Jonathan and I are both retired and lead busy lives set to our own timetables.
We have 3 adult daughters. Jenny is married to Pete and they have 2 boys, under 5, and full of mischief. Rachel is a teacher and Katie is a vet nurse. They all live in the UK.
We like tramping and get into the hills as often as we can. We also garden most days.
Jonathan builds and flies model aeroplanes and I enjoy patchwork and quilting when the weather keeps us indoors.
Enough for now......

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have opened up our home to couchsurfers since I joined and have enjoyed sharing our knowledge of New Zealand with others. We do offer other individuals the opportunity to see the untourist areas of this beautiful country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had several interesting visitors to stay.

Interests

I enjoy travel especially involving distance walking.
I garden most days. I enjoy most handicrafts when the weather is too wet to be outside. I enjoy helping out when family or friends need help. Also enjoy swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy thrillers, both reading and film. I also have books as well as music on my iPod so I'm usually to be found somewhere in the garden, working, and "plugged in"!
Music I enjoy, Adele, Athlete, band of Horses, Lady ga ga, radio 1, live lounge compilations, Jack Johnson, classical music, Rhumer, kimbra. Enough for now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the decision to relocate to New Zealand is an amazing life choice. I still wake up in the morning and cannot quite believe I am living in such a beautiful country!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a knowledge of general sewing, patchwork and quilting. I practise yoga on a daily basis. I am a basic cook and make jams, chutneys and wine with surplus produce from our garden. I have also learnt how to make cheese which was fun!

Countries I’ve Visited
