COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled with couchsurfers, partied with couchsurfers, had coffee with them and even hosted one once!

兴趣

I have a nerdy side that has me sitting in the corner of libraries devouring books about Bilingual Education and poststructuralism.

Then I have to shake all that off and hit the town, dance, jump along a beach somewhere.

音乐、电影和书籍

I like to use music to imagine I'm somewhere else or to inspire ideas, but I love music the most when it perfectly melds with the scenery, when it IS the scenery, like a Roda de Samba or a steel band yard or salsa in the streets by La Troja in Baranquilla, or a symphony orchestra in a grand building.

For me, the best books have beautiful language, fantastic stories, dense literature, maybe a little magic that makes me see everything in a new way...I love García Márquez. If it weren't for GGM, I probably wouldn't try so often to fit "tinieblas" and "muchedumbre" into the conversation all of the time.

And movies. Well, I like them. I don't watch many, though.
