About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life to the fullest...on couches everywhere

ABOUT ME

I have worked the grind of the restaurant industry since the age of fifteen. I have recently become unemployed and I'm looking to spend some time exploring the country and finding my true calling in life. I'm an open-minded individual with a big heart and would love to meet new people and hear their life stories.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to experience new people, places and things. I spent many years completely immersed in cooking and the service industry, which was a great experience, but I am ready to experience the next thing. I believe joining this community will be a great way to achieve this!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not had a chance to participate in the CS community yet, but I anticipate having a lot of great experiences!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the CS community and I'm looking forward to my first surfing and hosting experience!

Interests

My interest are diverse and expanding on a daily basis. Meeting new people and doing new things helps me to keep things fresh. Some of my current interests include: writing/journaling, reading, bike riding, hiking/the outdoors, animals, people, music, movies, conversation, cooking, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books I have enjoyed are: The Omnivores Dilemma, In Defense of Food, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Kitchen Confidential, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Glass Castle.
Movies: Motorcycle Diaries, Amorres Perros, Big Daddy, Goodfellas, Little Miss Sunshine, Fight Club, Earth Girls are Easy, Flight of the Navigator, I Love You Man.
I enjoy all types of music. I'm not particular to any one genre--a good song is a good song. Period.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked Kaiser Peak in the Sierra Nevadas, CA. It was an incredible experience. The beauty of the mountains and the accomplishment of reaching the summit was amazing. I would love to have more experiences like this in the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have vast knowledge of the culinary arts. Have questions about food or cooking? I would be happy to cook a meal with you and share what I've learned.
