ABOUT ME

When I was a kid I wanted to name my first kid (if a boy) Quinn after The Mighty Quinn. And just today, 30 days before my 39th [had to rework the math, there] birthday, listening to @BossFMRadio, I think, "Maybe I should adopt." Update: got one. thanks.

PHILOSOPHY

OK, so March of the Penguins is Disney. Everything's Disney. Every plus has a minus, unfortunately. I'm not a pessimist, I'm a skeptical realist who takes the negative too hard to heart. Actually, i like to complain--I really enjoy it. It's a great release--for me, not for those who take it personally or pretend to be constantly content. I just wish Disney and Exxon and Enron and Entergy an Xe didn't have to exist in order for me to cry with joy and fraught worry over the penguins and Morgan Freeman's narration. I'm too emotional to be Buddhist, but I definitely see the logic in it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I keep having these enlightening, meta-level couchsurfing insights that snap me out of my cocoon little-by-little. That's hard to quantify.
I took part in the CSMontreal which was lovely, but i haven't been able to partake since. Moola nula too.
So...I participate in my mind, man! (at least i'm going to try it out a bit.)
BESIDES...I have the best kept secret in CS and I only share it with those privileged enough to be (able to be) in the know. Intrigued? It's on these here profile pages. I will give you 20 questions and you can decide whether it's worth it to come all the way out to Oregon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have had few CS experiences since the advent of the Internet, but they have been just as rich as my old-skool road trips, camping and hitchhiking.
