ABOUT ME

I think what's most important to understand about me is that since 2006 I've had the opportunity to leave the US and spend a lot of time in Latin America doing community development work. I gained so much experience during my volunteer experiences that I've decided to concentrate my studies on Latin America and continue to contribute to rural development and youth empowerment throughout the region. I have everything to owe to my host families in the Dominican Republic, Paraguay and Mexico and I'm so blessed to have been welcomed into their homes with open arms. My time in Guanajuato, Mexico definitely changed me forever and ever since I have strongly connected with everything south of the border.

I grew up in San Diego and went to university in Santa Cruz. In November 2011 I relocated to East Oakland's Fruitvale district and found a permanent job in San Francisco's financial district. After 1.5 years, I moved again to El Cerrito and now live with my boyfriend. That said, that makes me somewhat an expert of the Central Coast, Southern California, SF and East Bay! I love exploring new places and finding what makes me happiest here in the bay.

That's me! I enjoy going to shows, passing time with good friends, going out for tea or a drink, cooking delicious food, learning new languages, traveling, photography, and learning.

PHILOSOPHY

I always try to be the best person I can be. I love my family and friends, respect earth and all its creatures, stay true to myself and always make the effort to be honest and genuine. I try to be as environmentally conscious as possible and I think it's important to live a sustainable lifestyle. Life is amazing and I really love mine!
