About Me

I am overly educated but mostly grateful for my life experiences and travels that have added depth to my character. I am an adventurer but have recently settled down in the Bavarian alps and become more home based. I am often in the winter on the mountain, working, while in the summer I tend to find other projects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I look to the weather often for inspiration and for the inertia to travel. I like to be in the moment and meet new people. Sure it's a place to lay my head at night but the most important is to connect with people and make friends.

Interests

Staying healthy and fit to be able to do the things I love as I start to age, and I have a lot of hobbies but I will admit that skiing and surfing are high on the list, but like wine, that is a whole microcosm unto itself that encompases a lot in the process of experienceing a place, the land, and its people. Also I dont mind a good party once in a while, but generally I am pretty laid back and prefer to get a good clean eat and sleep!

I love music and I have had the amazing opportunity to participate in masterclasses with great classical guitarists and there is luthiery, woods, sound, and guitar designs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- Nothing more exciting to me than getting immersed in a piece of guitar music to read, try Maria Manuel Ponce, such an adventure! I also loved "Living the Best Day Ever" By Hendri Cooetze

Music -- Music is very important to me because the TV is not usually on, so I constantly consume music instead. Currently I am listening to Simon Hanes alot... but I like music from all over the world, lets talk about it!

My favorite film...would have to be something in 16mm it just looks good, not that digital stuff can´t also be good, but like analog sounds it is less anxious to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going above 6,000 meters several times was a highlight

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher and guide by training, could also teach you musical ideas on the treble clef, flute, guitar etc., how to ski ( I am a ski instructor), surf. I haved work as guide as well, throughout Spain, Canary Islands and South America, I like sharing my knowledge of these areas with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A sense of empathy , and listening, and communication. Genuine human interaction is rooted in communicating in a meaningful way, naturally, and on different levels.
