ABOUT ME

***IMPORTANT REMINDER!!!: AS A BUSINESSMAN I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME FOR INTERNET COMMUNICATION. SO YOU SHOULD CONTACT ME VIA MY CELLPHONE TIMELY-PREFERABLY A FEW DAYS IN ADVANCE- FOR COUCH REQUEST, OR ELSE IT'S QUITE LIKELY THAT YOU WON'T HEAR BACK FROM ME ON TIME. MY PHONE: 00905447156552 ***

I am a father of 6, running a tourism business out of the beautiful town of Doğubayazıt, at the base of Ağrı Dağı and near the Ishak Paşa Palace. I have travelled many countries, and still regularly go to Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Central Asia etc. I love nothing more than to meet people from all over the world.

The office has 2 floors and we can sleep many people on mattresses. We have blankets though it helps if you bring your own sleeping bag. There is a toilet and shower with hot water, heating (necessary at around 2000m above sea level!), a kitchen and internet. I want visitors to feel at home here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lots. Ask me...

Teach, Learn, Share

As I run a tourism business, I am able to help organizing tours around the area, including climbing Ağrı Dağı (Mt Ararat), visiting the beautiful Fish Lake, and trips with Kurdish nomadic groups in the area. I also organize visas for Iran (the border is very nearby-about 40km) and can advise people who are travelling on there. If I'm going too, maybe we can meet in that country also.

Of course all of this is separate to my role as a host. They are services I can offer, but only if guests need or want them.
