About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is a Journey; Traveling is Life :-)

ABOUT ME

I am a cheerful, open-minded, spontaneous person; sport is an important element of my life. I am full of energy & live my dreams, am passionate about uncountable things, have thousand ideas what to do and where to travel. The big wide world attracts me constantly and I would love to discover all its countries and regions.... I sometimes believe that it all could only fit into ten lives :-)

I believe our planet is too exciting to spend my life only in one country! So far I have worked (only) in Germany, France, Luxembourg and Turkey but am sure that until the end of my life I will look back on many more countries.

I adore being surrounded by people from other cultural backgrounds which I find very inspiring and enriching. Through Couchsurfing I hope to continue to meet exceptional people and to create new precious friendships around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

make people around me happy - even if it is only through a smile - and they will give the joy back to you :D

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.

I do not only want to raise dust in my life but to leave plenty of positive marks!!!

In a healthy body lives a healthy mind!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

of course first of all by the donation ;-)

During my 8-month Asia trip I met truely exceptional people through CS.

Now back home I started to offer my guestroom and couch to travelers and am looking forward to welcome the big wide world in my home :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While traveling I met through CS absolute fantastic people, created exceptional liens and I am convinced that the project is a unique instrument to create connection with exceptional humans!!

And I learned that - once back home - CS brings the world to your home, creates great friendship, inspires you and brings diversification from the daily routine!! Thanks to CS project I am not afraid to return to work after my absolute fantastic sabbatical of 8 months, because through the people I will host or meet in Luxembourg my spirit may travel and accompany my guest on their ongoing trip!!

My CS experience is so absolute positive that I start to be addicted to it and talk about it to anybody I deem matching to the spirit of CS!!

Up to now I hosted the following people:

Lalita, Tung and Own from Thailand
Julien from Australia
Emily and Greg from US
Oleg from Ukrain
Burcin and David from Turkey and UK
Hermano from Brezil

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The fact that I simply did it: I told my boss I needed a sabbatical to travel the world! Three months later I was on my way East with the transsiberian train. It is magnificent to live your dream and to feel the flash of freedom!!!!

One of my most breath taking trips was to Antarctica, you won't believe how beautiful icebergs are unless you saw the colors and shapes with your own eyes!!

Another absolute fascinating experience was my participation at Kumb Mela in Haridwar (India) with 10 million Hindus!!!

Running full marathons are another very memorable and amazing thing!!

Jumping many times (alone) out of an airplane from 4 km height, with a parachute on the back :-)

Teaching an adult how to read and write English was another amazing thing: You cannot imagine my and his joy when he was able to decript words!

Preparing European vegan food in a kitchen without running water and on open fire in the middle of a jungle was also amazing!

There are thousands of other things... ask me and find out!!

Teach, Learn, Share

When I am hosted myself I propose to cook a delicious dinner for you :-) If I host you it is your turn and I am over happy to taste your cooking skills ;-)

I love share amazing stories of my travels and hear of your trips & your life in a different culture.

If you come to visit me I will try to show you the city and country. Are you not convinced yet or have never heard anything of Luxembourg? Watch this clip to get an idea and come!! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Iv4hje2rKo And I bet you will come straight away :)
