About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world and live life to the fullest!

ABOUT ME
My profile says I'm in Haifa, Israel but I've actually moved back to Sonora, CA, USA. For some reason my profile won't save the new address, sorry for any confusion.

My life goal is to travel the world. I love to meet new people, visit new places and learn about different cultures and ideas. I'm a pretty laid back, easygoing person but I love living a busy life. There is so much in the world to learn about, see, and discover I can't wait to find out what's next. I'm from a small town in the Sierra foothills of California, went to school in San Diego, then lived in Portland, Oregon for a few years. Now I'm headed back to school, this time in Israel for my graduate degree.

PHILOSOPHY

Pursue your Personal Legend. Take advantage of any opportunity that comes your way and live life to the fullest while helping others to do the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sightseeing is fun but in order to really understand a place or get a sense for the culture you have to meet people that live there. It's the connections we make with people in our everyday lives that make life meaningful wherever we are.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Slumdog Millionaire, Three Idiots, The Green Mile, The 10th Kingdom, and The King's Speech are some movies I've really enjoyed.

I love almost all types of music and change my genre of focus periodically. Lately I've been into Lindsey Stirling, Marc Cohn, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, Dave Matthews Band, Goo Goo Dolls, Ben Howard, Jason Mraz, Ingrid Michaelson, Tina Dico, Mumford & Sons, Tracy Chapman, Matchbox Twenty, the Doobie Brothers, etc.

I am also a total bookworm. My parents used to hide my books as punishment when I was a kid. Some of my favorite books include The Thirteenth Tale; Cry, The Beloved Country; Invisible Man; The Alchemist; Infidel; Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series; Anne Bishop's The Black Jewels trilogy; The White Tiger; Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series; and many, many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping from a bridge in Costa Rica was absolutely terrifying and also completely exhilarating.

Living in Morocco was also an amazing experience.

Getting lost driving a rental car through Egypt along the Nile for days was certainly memorable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always happy to learn something new, whatever the topic. I've done ballet for years (I'd be happy to teach/give pointers) and would love to learn other dance styles. Languages are also another passion of mine and any exchange would be welcome.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Romania, Spain, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Israel, Morocco, United States
