About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get the most out of Grad school

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist that, though currently living in California, considers NYC my true home. My art is eclectic - I could be making pen drawings one day, interactive video sculptures the next. I am never, ever without a sharpie.

I'm in grad school pursuing a combined MFA in Interactive Media and Experimental Animation, which usually prompts the response "cool! What does that mean?" Good question - hopefully by the time I graduate in three years, I'll have figured it out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing when traveling - I'd love to host, but my living situation just isn't amenable to it right now. Some day...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a few months living in Berlin, and couchsurfed when I first got there, until I found a place and got my bearings. I continued to meet lovely couchsurfing folk all throughout my stay there, even though I wasn't officially surfing anymore.

Interests

Visual Art (in all its sundry forms), film, music (live, recorded, or on repeat in my head), eating too much, cooking, SCUBA/snorkling, architecture, running, dancing (both watching and doing), biking, reading

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity, I biked across the USA - from New Haven, CT to San Francisco, CA. Simultaneously the best and worst thing I've ever done. Would love to do more long bike trips - preferably, next time without the luxury of a support van.

Teach, Learn, Share

I pay my bills by teaching people how to do really well on standardized tests, so if you need to get into graduate or business school in the States, I can give you a leg up. I've also taught drawing, which I still feel is the only thing in this world I REALLY know how to do. I'm always, always willing to share a good recipe.

Countries I’ve Visited
