About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find myself among other people.

ABOUT ME

Well...I am come to live and die amongst you...( as Queen Elisabeth said). I am a bit nerdy, frankly speaking person with complicated approach to other people. However, I try to solve this relationship thing by studying sociology and by enjoying company of the others as much as I can. I love reading books that express what I am looking for, watching movies that are more ironic than serious and in general, I mostly admire things that make fun of themselves and are not too serious. Life is short is what my nickname here says in Slovak. Yeah, I am from Slovakia, that makes me unique (because it is only 5 million of us:) I live in Košice, Slovakia, but currently I study in Brno, Czech Republic.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I think I should be a helping person. I was born to a good family and great background, I have been awarded a lot without even trying for it, so I guess it is my obligation. The problem is to find a way how to help to be effective. On the other hand I think we should leave everyone to have his own story and to be individual. Trying to find a balance between intervension and individualism is not solved in my head.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hm....I have been surfing and hosting and I met a lot of amazing people:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well...as I see CS, is the best way how to know the world. You simply cannost have better travelling experience, because all the time, you miss the human factor - and there you are! All the positive things I learned by traveling were from people!:) (and some museums pointed out by those people;) )

Music, Movies, and Books

Concerning the music, I am not very well educated in music...so I guess I like what I know, and it is a mixture of different genras (Bjork, Patti Smith, Dezo Ursiny - slovak big beat genious). Classical music doesn't bother me.

For the books I love those of J.D. Salinger (all of them) S. Rushdie, and K. Capek...now I am trying to read some of the Slovak writers and during the semesters it is mostly sociological and art science.

There are so many good movies...and I still havent seen them all:D But I like European cinematography, Nouvelle vague, Lars von Trier...and so on:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some great artpieces in galleries (Botticelli, Van Gogh, Klee, Jakoby)

Seeing the Sunrising in Finland when there is no night and you are by the lake.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn how to give a good massage! And how not to reveal every secret I am told. And I can teach...maybe to have a positive look on everything. And how to write short SMS, make short phone calls... and not to take anything seriously.
