CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
There is no way I can describe myself in a paragraph. I'll give it a try, though. I'm a registered Democrat and member of the GLBT community who believes in the Second Amendment and who does not believe that all profit is evil. I am a Zionist who is an American citizen, an Israeli citizen, a believer in Israel's right to secure borders, and a believer in the Palestinians' right to have a land of their own with a sound economy and a government that is neither corrupt nor terrorist. I look like the corporate drone next door in dress casual, but that's just a clever disguise for a very strange and twisted soul. I married my extraordinary life partner over a year ago, and we're looking to jointly host some wonderful visitors when our lives settle down a bit.
PHILOSOPHY
Leave this earth a little better for having lived; love your friends and fight for what is right; accept and embrace the diversity of opinions and experiences that the world has to offer; be someone worth knowing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now that my husband and I live in a two-bedroom / two-bathroom apartment, we hope to host more often.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A friend who owns cats needed to put up a friend who is allergic to cats, and asked if I'd host the allergic friend since I had no pets at the time. I said yes, and now that allergic friend is one of the closest friends I've ever had, as is her now-husband. Yay for couch-surfing!

Photography, travel, activism, writing, reading, visual arts, radical self-expression, camping, cooking, music, blogging...
I love birds, as does my beloved, so we have a rescued budgie. If you visit, you may experience an avian serenade or three.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dressed up as a gorilla for a friend's wedding reception (it was an ongoing practical joke from college that the groom had actually initiated). I have a very funny story about that, actually...
Teach, Learn, Share
I know about a fair number of things. I'll have to come back to this later.
