About Me

"Lo que más me sorprende del hombre occidental es que pierde la salud para ganar dinero, después pierde el dinero para recuperar la salud. Y por pensar ansiosamente en el futuro no disfruta el presente, por lo que no vive ni el presente ni el futuro. Y vive como si no tuviese que morir nunca, y muere como si nunca hubiera vivido." Dalai Lama

I'm a teacher of Spanish and I've just taken a sabbatical year to travel the world. After spending 5 months traveling and surfing in Central America, now I'm heading to Asia!

I'm curious about almost everything and I love engaging in spontaneous and random adventures along with unconventional people with unusual ideas. I specially love weird people. Normal people are just too boring! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I first tried CS as a surfer in 2012 I've crashed coaches in many different countries in all continents and my way of travelling has changed so much. Now I love travelling on my own since I know I have friends spread all over the globe thanks to Couchsurfing. I simply love it and the more I use it the more it amazes me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Depending on my mood I can listen to very different kinds of music, but I especially like soul, jazz and blues.

I started learning how to play the guitar a a few years ago and love playing and singing!

'Martin Hache' is one of my favourite movies ever, but I also like Almodovar, Allen, Tarantino and Kubrik.

I've got a seriuos problem with books since I keep buying and buying them.

At the moment, I'm very interested in the Spanish and Latin American literature. I also love reading in English.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the highest peak of Spain, in Teneriffe. It was amazing being up there and seeing the neighboring islands through the clouds.

Swimming in the waters of a hidden waterfall in the middle of the countryside in Byron Bay, Australia.

Watching the sunset in Jericoacoara, Brazil, with capoeira dancing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some bad words in Spanish hahah ;) - kidding! I can help with your Spanish as I am a teacher of Spanish to foreigners! And if you have a guitar at home, I can play and sing a few songs for you!

I would like to learn something from every single person, it doesn't matter what it is. I would love if you could teach me a song you like or that is typical from your region, so I can remember you everytime I play it :)
