ABOUT ME

At college, that's decades ago, I was doing literature study, and thinking to pursuit a critic's career. But life changes. My way in life leads to many turn around. I did teach Chinese for several years, then a new friend after a short talk enrolled me to a media job covering news aroung world. After 3 years, another occasion chanced me to the business world and continnued for 15 years,in muliti- fields. I always didn't do it whole heartedly.Life is generous too. Upon quitting career life, a critic and commentary magazine offered a position. Since then, I have been doing editing of magazine. I enjoy it and this time, whole heartedly. For one thing, I now have to read works in many fields and meet many interesting and thinking persons. My lesson is : Brave to try new things and meeting new people is rewarding.

We are a fmaily of four, living in HK island. My wife is a journlist. The elder daughter Elise is in her second year of college, the younger one Frieder is in Primary 4.

Elise is going to Europe for study. When serching for information, I found Couchsufing interesting , for both of us. I hope she will join the discussions and know more of the world through them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just attended a local surfers party, after sign up. I like the people there.

Interests

To be an editor, one has to read and write and contact writers all the time. That is my main interests, almost neglect my other interests in music, hiking, museums. 2 daughters are both learning piano, Elise has practiced more then 10 years. They feed me with their music everyday. My current interests are international affairs, Japan,China,and Europe studies.
I also enjoy history books, all kinds of.

Music, Movies, and Books

Long ago, I practiced violin for a short while. I found it difficult for me. The things left is the habit to listen, Heiftz and most Russian players. Recently, listened Cuban songs a lot.

Prefer Latin films of realist school.

Teach, Learn, Share

At this age, I am still enjoy learning new ideas. Myself has had years of experiences to teach Chinese.
