About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm on a mission from God! (serious) : )

ABOUT ME

Combine 1 part beatnick with 2 parts wizard, add a dash of priest, stir in a shot of woo woo and immediately mask the flavor with a dose of rationality. Top off with mix of philosophical wonderer and nomadic wanderer, light on fire and shoot neat

PHILOSOPHY

In the beginning there was one. With nothing to gain and nothing to lose it existed in a state of nirvanic bliss. Then, at a different plane, that one split itself into two, and the two into the 10,000 things. And why would it do that? My best guess is to feel the experiences of joy and pain, gain and loss, disconnection and love. So my philosophy is to play the game, and give the one these experiences while realizing the game isn't real, and neither are we, because we're really pieces of the one : )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In all honesty, I've been off the radar for a while. My roommates aren't open to travelers... so goes it, and perhaps that will shift one day. That said, I've had some amazing experiences couchsurfing and met amazing people at the gatherings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once spent 6 months living on the couch in the "music room" of some friends in Ithaca. Frankly, I had a bed to sleep on somewhere else, but it wasn't as much fun and these saintly kids didn't mind at all... (addendum 9 years later, I got to pay them back by becoming their wedding hero. I swooped in and helped them move, organize their wedding and pull off the craziest week of their life recently)... and had an amazing time doing it!

My first couchsurfing experience, I decided on a Thursday, I was traveling to change my life through a Yoga course (for lack of better words) the following day with no plan, nowhere to stay etc... A saint responded to my messages on the way, and let me crash. We ended up really bonding and all was beautiful!

Interests

Permaculture, energy work, replanting the rainforest, kayaking, snowboarding, mountain climbing, taiji, chi gung, kung fu etc..., philosophising, dismantling the system(s) thought by thought, religion, travels, billiards, good beer, spirits of all kinds, metaphysics, psychology, dancing, cooking, meditating, relaxing
