Im 34, and still climbing trees. Im passionate, driven and easily excitable. Im that guy, Im a traveller. an overlander an adventurer, Im riding my motorcycle around the world in stages. Im a storyteller. Im the one reading deep books and having very serious conversations about life and travels, philosophies, concepts, experiences and people. Im happy-go-lucky or I can be cynical. As I have a strong element of critical thinking. I think for myself and make up my own mind. im anything I want to be at anytime I need to be. All rolled into one. Just meet me. Chances are we'll just smile and laugh and have a good time :) ~ after all, life's what you make it ~

Im an Australian guy and Ive lived in more than a couple of places around this bueatiful little world (Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, England, Germany, Czeck Republic and Canada) and traveled some of it too! friends and family..... now thats a good time! my friends call me action man and at one point I had the allias "International Disaster" haha I like all things fun and execiting. Im a pretty driven person and believe you only get out what your willing to give up. I love life and am deffinatly having a go' - no one likes a pessamist! optimism prevails!

Hallo, ich heisse Tristan. Ich bin drieundvierzig jahre alt. Ich komme aus Australien, aber Jetzt lebe Ich in Mannheim, weil ich hier studiere. Ich bin ein Solar Tehnik von beruf bei Suntrix, Aber Ich mochte spater nicht Solar Tehnik warden, deswegen studierien ich bei Mannheim Universitat. Meine hobbys ist mit meinem mottorad reisen. Ich habe ein Honda Motorrad, siebenhundertfunfzig cc. heisst "camel" aber der model ist "Africa Twin" Ich liebe er, machen ein tour nach aller welt!! Es ist nicht bequem sondern es sehr praktisch fur reisen. Camel ist sehr originell!!

PHILOSOPHY
I believe we all live in one world, thru travel, experiences shared, education and unification we can all collectively have a worldly understanding and therefore understand each other, if every citizen from every country and culture understood every other country and culture, we may not realistically unite as one world, but it would defiantly reduce world conflicts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I bring a smile and a carbon footprint everywhere i go... the ying and the yang...

I started by hosting when I lived in Prague, I then started to surf when I travelled up thru the Baltic's and I 'coffee or a drink' i.e. show people around my town/take them on crazy adventures when I cant host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted and I've surfed and when I cant host I coffee and a drink! I think its really important to host as well as surf. It gives you the understanding of what it feels like to invite a complete stranger into your own house and life with open arms. Which effectively changes the way you surf... Besides if everybody surfed and nobody hosted the whole project wouldn't work :)

Interests

Travel, Snowboarding, Downhill mountain biking, dirtbikes - enduro - and travel on Motorbikes. Four wheel driving - rally. The Dakar Rally, Hiking, Climbing, particularly overland travel, Is my preferred method. I study double undergraduate degrees, Bachelor of International Studies with Bachelor or Arts, History and German majors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will read a book or listen to music at certain time in my travels, for example I read the famous "Jupiters Travels'" while travelling India and the Himalaya's on a motorcycle. If you request me, please write JUPITERS TRAVELS in your request, thanks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode my Honda Africa Twin 750cc motorcycle from the top of Germany to Africa. Travelling long distance on a motorcycle is amazing, fun, hard, challenging and rewarding!

Lost a hitch-hiking race thru South East Asia.

Rode an Enfield Bullet' 350cc motorcycle around India and up into the Himalaya's.

Drove a T4 VW multi-van to Dubrovnik and back thru Bosnia from northern Germany.

Travelled Laos three times, the best and worst was on Honda XR250, which I infamously drowned in a river crossing gone wrong. I learnt a lot about myself from this experience and the people you should / should not travel with. I then spend two days in a straw hut village pulling the engine apart to get all the water out with the local mechanic who spoke less than 10 words of English, we left great friends!

Got the worst food poisoning ever from tomato soup in Kiev, Ukraine.

I Rebuild my motorcycle engine in the English summer of 12' with the help of friends but mainly by myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: I can teach you to find north from the Sun and your writst watch! and to navigate from the stars.

LEARN: I am currently learning German and have just passed B1,1 level
wish me luck!! so, if you speak German, please spare some time to help me ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you about the world, the parts of it ive lived and in and travelled at least. I can cook for you ;) and would look to learn cooking from your part of the world.
