CURRENT MISSION
Continue meeting great people from all over the globe, including the hidden surprises in my own backyard
ABOUT ME
I am going to take the easy way out since I am pressed for time right now- but if you want to really get to know how my mind works (always a good idea before allowing a person from New York to sleep on your furniture), I suggest you visit my blog:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
People always laugh at me when I tell them that I love couchsurfing, since I've yet to host or be hosted. I still appreciate the culture of it all through activities like picnics in Central Park, karaoke ventures in Harlem, weekly potluck dinners given in sprawling lofts acquired through unknown means- Wait! Does camping out overnight at a CS-sponsored event count as a surfing experience?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has introduced me to so many different people whom I likely never would have met otherwise, and I am very thankful for these opportunities.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don’t think of Werner Herzog as being my favorite director, but it’s hard to argue the point when you drag your friends to the last three of his documentaries with reckless abandon- and here’s something I just discovered about him- remember that clip on the Discovery Channel a few years ago about the teenage girl who was the sole survivor of a plane crash in the amazon rainforest? She woke up still strapped to her seat at the top of a tree. Well, Herzog was scheduled to take that flight, but cancelled at the last minute. Somehow I think that qualifies him for superlative status in my books- or at least someone who I wouldn’t mind hosting, should he need a place to stay.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I removed a live rat from my apartment single-handedly at midnight a few months ago. No one was hurt, though my heart rate may have reached a record high. He was surprisingly cooperative.
