About Me

I'm laid-back, interested in any topic you can share and teach me. I live with my wife in the Rhine valley region, probably the most beautiful place in Germany. I am a dreamer, a foodie, a little shy at times, waaaay to German (realized that when I met my Ukrainian wife ;) and a serious espresso addict.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a bit like having a whole world full of friends. I love the times when you sit together with people that you just met like an hour ago but you talk as if you knew them for ages. This is what I experienced a lot since I started couchsurfing, as a host and a traveller, and I will hopefully have many more of these moments.

Interests

I absolutely love food and coffee! Cooking for people and inventing new recipes is a lot of fun for me and helps me relax after a stressful day. I also do sports... sometimes. Moving on.
My wife and I learn Italian together since a little over a year now. We go to language courses in Germany and made a couple of trips to schools in Italy learning even more. Still we are just at the beginning so we are glad for everyone who can teach us more!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies and go to the cinema whenever I can. Always open to suggestions for good movies!
My Spotify playlists contain everything from Metal and Punk to Reggae, Dub, sometimes charts and movie scores.
I love science fiction and fantasy books. Everything that takes me to another world far far away :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple times a year my wife and I hop on a plane to Italy, our favorite country in the world (sorry Germany!) for the weekend. Leaving work on Friday and just a couple hours later sitting in a restaurant in Italy is a great way to clear your head! :)
Once took my dad and flew with him to Las Vegas for a weekend to visit my brother (who was on a roadtrip through the US at that time). Greatest family reunion ever.
Spending christmas with my Ukrainian family is always lots of fun and very very exhausting.
Visiting Cuba and staying in a family.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested in learning about other peoples' lives. Anything really. It's always fascinating to meet people from other places, whether it is a German town or a city on the other side of the world.
I would love to learn more Italian!! So all the Italians out there, it would be great to get to know more of you and to speak this beautiful language with you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My wife and I love to share our lovely appartment with people. We can show you around, hang out and share stories. Also, if anyone wants to learn how to make a decent cup of coffee I'm your man!
