I'm no superhero, but I see nothing wrong with trying to 'save the world'

ABOUT ME

I love learning, and I love my job working with technology for education and health care. I wear many hats: researcher, business owner, consultant. I work quite a bit, but always make time for good people, good music, and sharing food/drinks.

My best days involve beautiful nature, interesting conversation, good vibes and tasty brews. My favorite part about traveling is meeting new people.

I do my best to create opportunities for other people. I've organized student groups and non-profits. I have a pay it forward sort of mentality that leads to meeting good people and feeling good about how I spend my time on this planet.
I've studied computer science, journalism, and business, and I split my time between a research lab and software start-up.

I'm very lucky to have a job that helps me travel and makes me feel like I'm making the world a better place.

PHILOSOPHY

An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind. My goal in life is to plant trees I may never enjoy the shade of.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm happy to host surfers at my home near downtown Orlando. I've lived in the city for 20+ years and would love to show you what's here besides Disney. The place isn't half-bad if you can navigate the tourist traps, and even those can be fun when equipped with the right info. I grew up right between Universal and Disney, and went to school on the other side of town. I know this place like the back of my hand and would love to share it with CS.

I promise anyone gracious enough to host me at least one delicious home-cooked meal =D

I've had nothing but wonderful experiences Couchsurfing. If it weren't for Couch Surfing I would not love Kenya as much as I do!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some wonderful people through CS, both at home and abroad. I had my first couple surfing experiences in Kenya. It was great to connect with real, local, people - especially with how tough Nairobi can be for westerners. I'm now a total CS advocate.
