ABOUT ME

I am easy going and open minded. Ilove to travel, especially to new places and to immerse myself in different cultures.
I grew up in South Africa. Have lived in Israel and Cincinnati and Chicago. I now live in Nicaragua in Central America and am a co founder of a very cool bamboo company that does low cost eco housing and reforestation.
I am pretty social, pretty flexible but also value my space.
I have three sons and a step son.. all in their twenties.
I do yoga ofen, eat vegan mostly, am learning Latin Dance and Spanish these days.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we can shape and create our lives to a large extent. Once you know what you want and need,then its about making it happen. Be open to new experiences and opportunites.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to offer up a bed and/or blow up mattress in my adopted country of Nicaragua. Please be in touch with me at least five day or so before you intend to arrive ~ understand my life is v busy, so I will do my best to accommodate you depending on what else is going on at that point in time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many people come thru Nicaragua and stay in our spare bedroom.. friends or friends of my kids...So I feel like I have been an informal CS for a while now. Two days is my limit to offer....

I love movies, especially funny, romantic, French, classic... (except violent ones)

I just stood on volcano Maderas in the middle of Lake Nicaragua and looked at volcano Concepcion (active), with water on both sides as the volcanoes are basically islands in the middle of the lake. Pretty amazing sight.

I want to learn more Spanish and keep learning and doing yoga. I want to learn salsa and merenge dance.

I can help with yoga, healthy living, positive outlook.
I can help people with environmental green practices. My background is educator, school psychologist, artist.
