About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moving toward stabilty, for the time being.

ABOUT ME

Seeker of all spontaneous, inquisitive, provocative, compassionate, adventurous, funny, whimsical, sharing and open minded peoples.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, think, and act in the moment. Work like you don't need the money. Reclaim the Streets. Eat with your brain. Laugh often.

Sorry for the platitudes. No, really, I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Creating safe spaces for all sorts of lifestyles.

Also I'm lucky enough to have a futon couch and a heated (most of the time) flat!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Incredible, and Highly Variable. Both positive positions.

Interests

Spending time in beautiful and/or abandoned places. Cooking and learning about food cultures. Artistic boundaries, especially in social practice or relational aesthetics. Architecture, street culture and the built environment. Anything to do with geography, political ecology, and cartography. Old maps. Tricky situations. Long backpacking trips. Healthy dirt. Walkable urban densities. BICYCLES!

Things that float (preferably for my own buoyancy).
Things that make noise (for collective amusement).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A Vermont Town Meeting

A Murmuration of Starlings

"Catholic nuns and priests marched alongside young people with dreadlocks, nose rings and Palestinian scarves. Christians, anarchists and communists mingled"

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a host of outdoor skills, cartIS skills and emergency medicine services. For work I can fix some types of machines, antiques, build furniture, and do construction and design work. If there's something you need fixed or replaced around the house or in the neighborhood, I'd love to help. I'm open to help with basic carpentry, metalworking, farming, plumbing, and all sorts of tinkering. I can also share a good amount about some of the more esoteric parts of old Brooklyn history.

I have previously taught alpine skiing. So if you are in danger on top of a mountain I can help ;)

Mutual aid and free exchange of skills are big on my list. I'm a fan of independent media and a range of loosely artistic endeavors. Care to swap words?
