ABOUT ME

I am living in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. I have lived in Canada for 9 years, my kids were born there. I have always been very interested in traveling, meeting people of all ages and having great conversations. I consider myself open-minded. I am self employed working in product and project styling. I enjoy having people stay at my place whenever I have time. I usually have people stay over that I knew before I got registered with CS.

PHILOSOPHY

Awareness and respect for each others needs and of the environment, respect for animals, sustainability is an important part in my styling projects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I did some couchsurfing in Canada. I have been off couchsurfing for a while because I had people stay over at my place on a regular base through other connections.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

3 couchsurfing experiences in British Columbia, Canada in may 2010. Stayed in Vancouver with Sikee for a couple of weeks, a very kind fellow, who was helpful in many ways, at the same time I took off whenever I wanted and used his bike to get around in the city, we ran into some very interesting people checking out the town at night, people I am still connected with. great experience. Vancouver Island was a good CS experience as well.

Interests

my greatest passion is art. I love conceptual art, because it relates to philosophy and I love things that have experimental elements. I read western as well as eastern philosophy. Krishnamurti is one of my favourites. I am still studying (product)styling. This is a lot of fun and I hope to be able to work in different places in the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

spending the night in Oxford in a huge abandoned house, almost freezing to dead.
