About Me

ABOUT ME

If I could list my top 3 passions in life, they would probably be travel, environmental stuff and sport. I'd like to think I'm a very easy going and sociable person who loves to see new places, experience new cultures and meet new people from all over the world.

I've just moved to Nairobi to work in conservation. Looking to meet new people living in Nairobi and travellers passing through. Prior to Nairobi I've couchsurfed all over the world - including a big trip overland from Thailand back to the UK.

'Live your life richly, not your life to get rich'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted and surfed in the UK - and can't wait to couchsurf my way home from Bangkok to Birmingham

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In November 2012 I decided to 'couchsurf' around my own city - London. I called it 'couchvember'. It was ana amazing experience and taught me so much about the generosity and hospitality of everyday people in London. I stayed with 11 fantastic hosts in 30 days and had an experience I'll never forget. I blogged about the experience here: http://bangkok2birmingham.com/category/couchvember/

Vagabonding, 4 Hour Work Week, Around the World in 80 Days,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently completed a 13 and half hour 'quadrathlon' which involved swimming a mile across Loch Tay in Scotland, running 15 miles up and down the 7 surrounding mountains, kayaking 8 miles down the Loch and then cycling 36 miles around the mountains again. Tough, rewarding and beautiful location!
