ABOUT ME

My life so far has been full of amazing highs and some tough times. However, all have taught me something about myself and so I'm grateful for both.

I'm sponateous (which has landed me in some interesting situations in my time ), creative, generous and I'm willing to try most things at least once.

I have a shy side but I'm not afraid to push myself outside of my comfort zone.

I'm honest about who I am (the good the bad and the ugly).

I apparently have a dirty mind (which I blame on the fact that I have 3 brothers).

PHILOSOPHY

For me this journey is about learning how to accept myself as I am while trying to have as much fun as I can along the way.

I love to Travel ( suprise suprise ), Photography, Scrapbooking, Scuba Diving, Writing, Texas Hold'Em Poker, Photoshop, Skiing, Spirituality, Music, Reiki, Reading, People watching, Rugby, Learning about different cultures, hammocks, dancing in the rain, walking barefoot, earplugs, the smell of freshly cut grass, meeting new people and getting beneath the surface of a new place.. . .the list goes on

Music, Movies, and Books

I read everything from Classics to Trashy Novels to Sci-Fi and anything in between. Books that really got to me were . . All Quiet on the Western Front, The God of Small Things,The Kite Runner, Pack up the Moon, The Secret and about a thousand others that I won't bore you by listing. For me reading is a chance to loose myself in another world and if I can't travel it's the next best thing.

Music - I'm useless at remebering the names of artists or bands or the different types of music but I love it all the same. I always have music on in the backround or on my ipod if I'm out and about. My taste in music is a mixed bunch I like everything from Dire Straits, Nina Simone, Rihanna, Andrea Bocelli, Live, Aventura, Juanes, Christy Moore, Otis Redding, Kings of Leon,Black Eyed Peas, John Mayer, Kansas,The Killers, Snow Patrol, U2 etc etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was on my way to South America and ended up living on a little Tropical Island in Thailand for 2yrs.

Scuba Diving in the Barrier Reef & off the East coast of Thailand

I got lost up the mountains in Swaziland and came across a festival for the Zulu King. There was easily 5000 people there all in traditional gear chanting, dancing, praying etc. .

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe everyone has something to teach us whether its about ourselves, the world or their own culture. It can be interesting,funny, thought provoking, practical or esoteric.

I'm happy to talk about my own experiences and if someone learns something from that then it's all good. I guess its more esoteric then practical . I'm sure If I put my mind to it I could probably teach someone something practical . . . .like how to say kiss my ass in Irish or how to make a baby Guinness :)

I'd love to learn Spanish,Salsa Dancing, Anything about photography/ photoshop, how to roll my rrr's,how to be a better storyteller.
