Hello, dears folks!

It is always difficult to talk about ourselves but rather than talk about who I am I'll express it through the things I enjoy to do or the way I like to think.
I can summarize myself as a calm, curious and a peaceful person :)

I don´t care about race or ethnicity, religion, gender and sexuality. I value the respect and freedom since it doesn't imply any harm to others.

I could tell a lot of things I feel comfortable about... Feel free to have a chit-chat with me about whatever you want. I do not like to be judgemental and I do know how each life can have a turn of 180 degrees in a matter of hours thus, I appreciate the sense of empathy for others. :)

I love travelling, outdoor activities, nature, to play basketball, to read in a rainy day, laughs ( please don't hesitate to contaminate me with good humor) , sunset, waves ( I love the sea and the ocean to the point that I would love to work on marine or offshore environments--(I am already in the business :D ) , people with good vibrations or any other simple way to relax during my spare time like lie on the grass in a sunny day while listening to my favourite music.

Besides the fact that I come from an engineering field I appreciate people that have the sensibility to express their dreams, passions, empathy, emotions and thoughts or to think out of the box in a way of understanding that out there are other types of living rather than our little world within our comfortable environment.

Couchsurfing... It has been a long path until here, the experience that introduced me to the world and made me learn English. Indeed, the English classes from basic school didn't excite me that much :p

My bside also likes extreme sports. I like to watch (not to do) extreme sports like mountain biking, surfing, freeride mountain biking, cave diving, sandboarding, skateboarding and aggressive inline skating!
It excites me to see people defying gravity and the entities of the earth. It is humanly captivating and poetic. Over the edge! If I could, I would love to do but I would not be brave enough xD Anyway, it is good to feel the adrenaline through them :)

- Tropa de elite 2 ( directed and produced by José Padilha and Marcos Prado, 2010) - Script ambitious and rough. Deep and realistic background of the Brazilian state. Law, corruption, the lions at the top of the pyramid, a frightening, cold, huge and structured system.

- Bicycle Thieves (Vittorio de Sica) - Within my top 10! From the 40's? They played amazingly!

- Late Quartet (produced and written by Yaron Zilberman)

- Frances Ha ( directed by Noah Baumbach and also written by Baumbach and Greta Gerwig.)

- Mr Nobody ( Jaco Van Dormael ) - Uff! Mind-blowing! I get tired once I watch it all! Just.... pfffff....

- À la folie...pas du tout ( Psychological drama film, played by Audrey Tautou and Samuel Le Bihan, directed by Laetitia Colombani. The film studies the condition of erotomania). I loved the construction of the story based in flashbacks. Not everything that seems to be, it really is!

- Germinal ( 1993, based on the novel by Émile Zola. Directed by Claude Berri and played by Gérard Depardieu, Miou-Miou and Renaud. At that time it was the most expensive movie ever produced in France. It is a realistic story of a coalminer's strike in northern France in the 1860s).

-Grave of fireflies ( 1988, Japanese animated war drama film written and directed by Isao Takahata. It is based in a semi-autobiographical short story Grave of the Fireflies by Akiyuki Nosaka). - It is so poetic and I tried to curb my crying until the last second of the movie. :D Sure, once I couldn't manage it more I just cried just like someone else had given me a punch in the face or like the world was ending. Well done Akiyuki Nosaka!

Couchsurfing, speleology, climbing, jazz in San Francisco...
Sometimes you do fantastic things from simple stuff =) I still have a lot of great things to experience.
In the future onward I hope to be able to paint some stuff or write more! Definitely, I would like to leave my footprint on this planet!
I would like to do some volunteering either in Greece or somewhere within Asia continent.
Cave/rock art - I am still looking for an opportunity to go to Vale do Coa and Lascaux.

Either you are a host or surfer I can share good talks, music, Portuguese backgrounds, good vibrations and my voice if you play bossa nova or jazz in a very cosy and informal way.
I am also living in the centre of Lisbon for a few months and I would be more than welcome to share with you one of the most amazing rooftop views that you'll never ever see. It is almost possible to imagine your arms embracing the city. Indeed, I could spend hours talking about Lisbon's atmosphere, its mixture of flavours and colours, lights and sounds.
