HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to share knowledge and interests with my hosts and treat them, their environment and customs with great respect.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Great CS experience in Chile and Argentina a few years back.
Interests
Exploring new places (tricky in this day and age!), backpacking and any 'rough' traveling, surviving on a tight budget, being in contact with nature, meeting heaps of new fantastic people, getting acquainted and understanding new lifestyles and philosophies, debating on politics, life and philosophical matters, trekking and city walking, clubbing, Sunday pub lunches, going to fancy cocktail bars, house parties at my friends in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and ones in a while attending a gig, theatre or opera piece.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like any comedy or film with a historical/educational content. Some of my fave films are Trainspotting, Milk, Blow, Bloody Sunday, Mississippi Burning and The Power of One. Love animations too.
My music taste is varied and I'm always keen to listen to new bands and new genres of music. I enjoy music that gets people dancing and having fun together.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Being invited to attend a wedding party by 2 locals in Turkey - guaranteed I was the only gringo there!
- Being offered food and lodging by a complete stranger for 4 days when I had no money left.
- Salvador Carnival in February 2010. Undoubtedly one of the most intense and fun experiences of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to learn new languages / can most definitely teach French and English (and actually used to do so). Spanish definitely needs boosting up :)
Enjoy sharing traveling experience which I also find the most efficient way of getting the best out of traveling as people share hands-on experience and real time information. Sharing opinions, facts and debating on all sorts of issues.
In my job I used to love teaching efficiency, self-respect and confidence. Hopefully I have helped a few!
Currently pretty useless at cooking but would be keen to learn.
