About Me

CURRENT MISSION

step one, amass experiences. step two..... step three profit

ABOUT ME

well, I grew up in the country, raised by a couple weirdos, and realized early on that I was meant to wander the green hills of earth, maybe other planets too. I'm a hitch hiking tramp most of the time, though when I'm back home I clean up alright, even work a 9-5. my travels thus far.. san diego to nelson canada, then back down to arcata ca in 2010. wonderful trip, learned a lot about myself(I had never traveled before). more recently, I went down to austin, then new orleans, around christmas/new years(just these last ones). it was a sucky time, but I did get a ride from peter robbins(original voice of charlie brown) on christmas, there's a story for ya. then not long after that I started this here odyssey, feb 11th I started hitch hiking over to san diego, then caught a plane out of there for hawaii, island of oahu. stayed there til august the fifth, then I came back to the continent and visited an old flame in portland. after that, santa cruz, and now I'm back up here in arcata. probably the last stop, then home. here's my deali-o: I don't mind camping out at all, it's quite natural to me(born in log cabin, grew up in state park, been livin like dis for a long time), but I am really hating the lack of shower access here in arcata. I take pride in not projecting the dirty train hopper look, but it's getting tricky here with no beach showers er anything. and I don't feel like hitch hiking over to eureka every other day. so ya. if there is someone who could open their doors and shower curtains to me, well that would be keen.

PHILOSOPHY

don't accept wooden nickels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't used CS since I was out west in 2010, but it was a 100% awesome time.

Interests

I am a huge fan of reptiles, and animals in general. I can have a great time talking about/observing animals, alllllll day. particularly if I'm baked. horror, in all its forms, is really exciting for me, particularly horrific visual art(Zidzislaw Beksinksi would be a good starting point ;]). one of these days I'm either going to be feeding the cobras at a zoo, or writing reviews for Rue Morgue I tell ya. media in general, so long as it's not pop media, can't get enough. the outdoors as 9/10 would list, and if you have an itch to share a sweet hiking spot, well by god speak up man, speak up! I also enjoy making money as I travel and offer my services to anyone as a general laborer. need that lightbulb changed out? I'm 6'3" :O. need a well dug? I like burrowing, that should also be noted as an interest. pull some weeds out of your garden? no problem! my hands are tough like the leather.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: Horror(80's and monster movies most of all), peter greenaway, animation(Gandahar, akira, I married a strange person, Felidae), scifi(Kin Dza Dza, Sleeper, Runaway, Brazil), my favorite movie is alien.

musics: I like rock mainly, stough from the 80s/90s like big black, slint, Dazzling Killmen, minutemen, die kruezen. I like Thrash metal like Vio Lence and Vektor, I like doom metal like The Sword and Electric Wizard. I like crazy technical shit like By The End of Tonight, and Hella, and The Flying Luttenbachers. outside of rock music it's just who knows, I get a kick out of italo disco and mongolian throat singing.

Books: I mainly read scifi from the 40s-70s, but I get down on some of the more respectable authors too. I like william burroughs, haruki murakami, anton chekov, H. P. Lovecraft, Arthur Machen, Franz Kafka, currently reading against the day by Thomas Pynchon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

well I can teach you some annoying little sounds to make you probably hadn't thought of before. I'm also a bit learned on ozarks culture and history, if that interests you.
