ABOUT ME

I was born in a small village in the middle of nowhere, but I always knew that I would leave it at some point and go traveling around the world.

I left home when I was 18 without any money, with one suitcase and within 7 years managed to live in 10 countries, study at 3 Universities, learn 6 languages and graduate with a master in International Business.

I financed it all myself to prove that I am the ultimate self-made woman and that you can actually make it from rags to riches if you really want it.

I promised myself that I will keep living every year in a different country, or get a job that will allow me to travel all the time. Mission in progress!

Wherever I am, I get all my energy and drive from meeting new people and listening to their inspiring stories.

PHILOSOPHY

Existentialism: the individual is solely responsible for giving his or her own life meaning and for living that life passionately and sincerely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have traveled the whole Europe with CS. It helped me to find new people when I was moving to another country and I did not know anybody there. Besides this, I love having people around so I host pretty often as well. I am always happy to show around and hang out with my guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On CS I met many, many wonderful people and I keep in touch almost with all of them! The majority of my hosts and surfers became my very good friends. Some of the people I met here had a very strong impact on my life, and I owe a lot to some of them.

music: I used to listen a lot to Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, PJ Harvey, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, Muse, the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys.
After living in Berlin I started listening to electronic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I have learned French in 7 weeks from zero to communicative
- I have learned German in couple of months just by translating the book 'Catcher in the Rye' from German to English
- I worked with United Nations at a conference in Ethiopia
- I traveled alone to South Africa and conducted a field study for my master's thesis; I was visiting slums and trying to experience everyday life of people living there.

-I do a lot of hitch hitchhiking; made a trip Munich-> Paris->Luxembourg->Belgium ->Netherlands->Germany->Poland. I have also hitchhiked whole northern coast of Spain following the route camino de Santiago de Compostela, and did some trips in Brittany, France.

-I have a driving licence for a motorcycle (for all capacities)and I ride choppers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach all the languages I know and riding motorcycles.
I can tell you a lot about different cultures in Europe and countries I lived in.
I am a good story teller, I can entertain you for hours.
