About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I'll just blurt it all out at once and save you a little time:

I'm a white, vegan, musician, gay, yoga instructor, artist, Physical Therapy student, pacifist. I love trying new foods, listening to other people talk, working with my hands, picking up instruments, and swimming in natural bodies of water. I hate having too much stuff, feeling tired, making enemies, and paying money.

PHILOSOPHY

DON'T miss opportunities and DON'T piss off anyone if you could make friends with them instead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Telling everyone I know about the sick adventures I'm going on. This year, Montreal - next year, THE WORLD!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had pretty terrible luck the first few times, but everything changed once I found the "Emergency Last-Second Couch" groups. And I end up meeting so many nice people that I just keep coming back for more!!! I'm hooked, end of story.

Interests

Health and wellness, making music and art, cooking, EATING, the environment, doing adult things but avoiding responsibility. Mostly eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: think Rocky Horror Picture Show and Means Girls. Music: think Beirut and Amanda Palmer. Books: think Brave New World and Edgar Allen Poe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once swam to Mexico. I once was the tallest person in Texas. I once ate 200% of my daily fiber recommendation and lived. I once played guitar on the street for three hours and made enough money to buy one organic apple. I have helped three individuals come out of the closet to themselves AND to their friends and family. I once saved the life of a stranger, and in return, he bought me a ticket for "Alice in Wonderland."

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you yoga, ukulele 101, how to swim, how to make delicious vegan chocolate cake, how to whistle with two hands, and how to crack your thumbs.

I want to learn about different cultures, how to not suck at public transportation, how to break dance, and how to whistle really loud with two fingers.
