About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy in one place as I am now a naturopathic medical student

ABOUT ME

I am a Canadian who enjoys experiencing lands and cultures foreign to my own. I am a relentlessly curious, and continue to seek answers to the myriad of questions I form every day. I have a scientific background, but I am also strongly artistic. I enjoy nature and the natural formations & beauties of the world. Music is the rhythm of my life. I aspire to enjoy each day and have fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about couch surfing while traveling through Western Europe. I surfed a CS host’s couch but happenstance, and decided to join. I also hosted a CS by accident back in Canada when I found a young Mexican woman at my local gas station with a big backpack, a map, and no where to stay for the night. Her host was unreachable. After taking her into my home and sharing a meal, conversation and a very memorable evening with her learning about her culture back in Mexico, I learned how rewarding being a host can be.

Currently I am traveling, so I participate by surfing and attending CS events and get togethers. I have also met wonderful people to travel with through couch surfing, both in Australia & New Zealand.

I look forward to hosting more when I am more settled in Canada, returning the favours granted to me through CS, as well as traveling vicariously through my surfers and their stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was a night I will never forget in Bath, England. My host and the other surfers stayed up all night on a hill overlooking the city, watching the stars and dancing to David Bowie and Michael Jackson. It was such a random wonderful night.

I met some fantastic people through CS which I traveled with in Australia, people I will be friends with for life.
