About Me

HOSTING STATUS:

As I'm writing this Corona is still messing with travel plans, but we're open to campers in our garden.

ABOUT ME

I like learning about different, not necessarily distant countries, and politics. I'm fascinated by nature, imagination and philosophy. Black, dry and silly humour is the best. I enjoy creating things of all sorts, like posters, attempts at computer- or boardgames, sketches, kitchen experiments (always vegetarian), and at the moment I'm learning how to make websites and web apps. A constant is that it's more about the way than about the destination. Which is also the way I like to travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Im lucky with what I have, what's left is to try to improve myself and the world and, and have a good time on our way out. Nihilists made a void to fill. I'm influenced by ecologism, a bit by stoicism as well (don't let things outside of your control hurt you).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed with some very nice people back in 2010 and was completely sold on the cosmopolitan, friendly principles of couchsurfing. So I started hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Made a few trips through Europe and couchsurfed on the way. And every time the people were great and I had the feeling I couldn't do enough in return. So I've started hosting more often. Never had a bad couchsurfing experience.
