ABOUT ME

I have lived in New Orleans all my life, and definately know how to party and have a good time. On many a night i would rather stay in, hangout with friends watching old TV shows procured from the internet, reading (Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite author), I love music, but absolutely hate the radio. For this reason I have to carry my mp3 player and entire music collection with me every where i go.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosphy on life has best been stated by three little, inconspicuous words by the late Kurt Vonnegut: "So It Goes."

I generally enjoy the outdoors and life itself is one of the most fascinating mysteries to me, one of the reasons im studying biology in college is to better understand how life (the physiological processes that allow an organism to exist intact) actually works and hopefully how it came to be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many couch surfers (unofficially) in the past and would like to host more now, and also would like to surf through europe. Im leaving for a tour of europe from july 7 until august 18, and hope to meet great people while im there by crashing on the couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed across europe, it was one of the best experiences of my life thus far.

Interests

meeting new people, music, green energy, environmental sustainability, understanding the universe, democracy (the real kind, not crony capitalism), medical devices, smart prosthetics (iron man was infact a very advanced prosthetic, this is what I want to do with my life)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a varied range of music, but my favorite bands can be summed up as : Iron Maiden, Queen, The Strokes, Eve 6, The Offspring, NOFX, Johnny Cash, Black Sabbath, The Specials, The Aquabats. Generally, rock,metal,ska, indie, and jazz i enjoy. I dont like country or rap, but i wont hate on those people (what like most of my generation) that listens to rap. I just think a band/musical act should have some sort of musical talent in the form of playing instruments well.

Books: Slaughter house 5, the sirens of titan, cats cradel, 1984, catch-22, the colour of magic (and others by terry pratchet), and Dune

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I blew glass for four years in college and am quite proud of some of the sculptures I made during my last semester (especially when comparing to the shit I made as a beginner)

Wind surfing in Essouria, morocco, along side Jimi Hendrix' old hangout was a great experience.
