About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To resist the system, encouraging friends to do the same and making friends along the way.

ABOUT ME

I come from a small village in the suburbs where we used to play hockey in the middle of the streets all day long, but unfortunately i was the small sister so i was always the goaler.. sucks. but i got good at it.

I've been living in Montreal for a while now and in 2011, I finished a bachelor in biology. Now i'm gonna begin a masters degree in history on north american native people. I also work as a scientific animator with kids in schools and in libraries.

PHILOSOPHY

Politics that protect private properties over human\animal\environmental well being, that ensure enrichment of the rich at the expense of the poor have to be denounced and rejected. We cannot let the gap get bigger and bigger between the poor and the rich... They are rich because we are poor, you know... Organisation and massive diffusion of information is the key.

Propensity of human being to imagine that human are above everything else and to dominate each single spheres of the living or non-living matter makes me sick. We're animals too you know. We're part of the Earth too... so when it's start to crash, we'll suffer from it a lot more than we can imagine....

It's time we start to be farsighted and cautious.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf, and I host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some wicked littuanian couchsurfer , and even though there's a lot of kilometers between Montreal and Littuania, these people were a lot like me. They had traveling experiences in some places of the world that i hadn't imagine traveling to and it was inspiring.

In South Dakota we stayed at a place with a guy and his daughter and they were so welcoming... seriously! After one night he lent us his car cause we could access to a national park for free with it. We liked them so much that we're heading back there pretty soon now! (so be careful, if i like you to much, i might want to come back...)

Interests

Yummi vegetarian and vegan cooking... hmmmmmm. I really like to cook.

CHEAP ART!

I sometimes assist-participate to conferences, debates and movies projections.

I sew a bit, i recycle old clothing in new clothing.

I like to bike. In the city it's a lost faster to bike then anything else.

I juggle (the best is to juggle in fire!) and practice hand to hand (another circus discipline) and i do a bit of handstands and acrobatics too.

I like outdoor activities like hiking, camping swimming... and because i live in a place where it's really cold in the winter i also like indoor activities, like climbing, cooking, reading, lots of stuff could be written here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made a pretty hard hike in CanyonLands(Utah). We had to get all the way down the canyon, and then get back up. It was a 6 hours hike, in the desert, no shade at all, and never enough of water. But it was amazing to feel so little at the bottom of that huge canyon. When you hike, you're usually used to go up. It's pretty cool to get down too.

And i saw the G-20 in Toronto. But that is another kind of amazing thing. Solidarity between people in a 'police state' like Toronto was during the summit, people protesting for their rights and for the abolition of capitalism even though it was pretty heavy in the streets... that's amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some cooking stuff.
I can teach juggling.
I can teach sewing.

I'm always open to learn anything.

I'll share my meals with you!

Couchsurfing is one way, between so many others to communicate with people with who we wouldn't, and i think it is what is magic about it.
