About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Too the see the world and its wonders in music, culture, art and arichitecture and natural wonders

ABOUT ME

I am easy going, respectful, and always up for something new. I have always been a creative person, I often find myself knee deep in a mess of paint and paper. I have a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design, where I learned about sustainable design and architecture. I believe that we should all live within our means and in harmony with our world...not against it.

I think its important to laugh as much as you can, society can make you feel so serious and set to auto pilot. I think occasionally letting loose and being silly can be the best medicine, which I often bring out in people if I spend enough time with them. I love to cook....whether it is simple or complex…nothing like sharing a table with awesome people and a bottle of wine. I would be dead without music…I do my best to rock out on the guitar with the handful of chords that I know…or have my heart melted by someone who can really play…
I know its cliché, but when the universe sends you lemons…make lemonade!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everyone should be treated with respect and equality. I always keep an open mind to the different thoughts and opinions of others. Trust is an important part of any friendship...whether a an acquaintance or a life long friend, if you don't have trust...you have nothing.

I believe that laughter is the best medicine. I love to laugh and I love making other people laugh. I think a certain level of silliness keeps you young at heart...it bring out the inner child within all of us...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience with in Barcelona, Spain with my best friend. It was fantastic, our host was so warm and welcoming. We sometimes made dinner together, hung out at the local bar...or just had interesting conversations on his balcony. It was a refreshing experience, to trust and be trusted is something that I think the world really needs to learn and practice.

Interests

I am strongly attracted to spiritually and the connections we share with each other. I think we all have something to offer, and shed light to things that we tuck away, or are afraid of reaching for. I am attracted to people or things in life that reach out to those aspects in myself whether it is trying a new food, looking at thoughts and ideas through a different light.
I love working with my hands, like gardening or building. I am not afraid to get dirt under my nails or sand in my hair. Spending time in the great out-doors…how can you beat it? I like to swim…bike…walk…slide..roll..whatever…I love being outside, especially during a warm sunny day with a gentle breeze, or under the cool crisp autumn sun.

Photography has always been a passion of mine..."That would be an awesome picture" or..."OMG what an awesome shot" whenever it does happen lol

I love classic rock and folk music, GRUNGE like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Sonic Youth, NIN I can go on forever...World Music..Classical...Country...Pop I love it all!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first thing that comes to mind is when I was in Seville, Spain July 2011. My best friend and I had just arrive in Seville, it was early evening, and on our search for the hostel we walked into a religious procession, I am not very religions, but for some reason I had this overwhelming happiness that tears starting streaming down my cheeks. Maybe it was because it was my first experience in this sort of event…I’m not sure…but it’s all on video! Thanks Cas! Lol

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be traveling to Greece to teach English, so I can offer the opportunity to help anyone learn or practise.
