About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, have fun, meet great people, and do some good along the way.

ABOUT ME

Bopped around the states as a child and adult, then landed in the land of enchantment/entrapment. I fell hard and fast for Albuquerque and could see myself staying here forever. Which is something I've never said about any place before. AH. I work at a wonderful nonprofit, host community storytelling events, walk my dogs, and learn about plants. Life is freaking good.

I love to plan adventures..have any ideas?

PHILOSOPHY

Decide to be happy. Show compassion. Leave places better than you found them.

Change comes from the fringe.

Attitudes are contagious, but good ones are like a healthy immune system that keep all the bad ones at bay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Was really involved in CS in 2010 in SLC, UT. Then I hosted a little bit (though my roommates were always the actual host as it was their house). Forgot about CS until recently!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS events are always a blast- i never fail to leave with one or two new great friends. CS has also inspired random road trips with new friends and other spontaneous adventures.. it's great! It's always been the highlight of my travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Welded a squat rack, which the internet describes as the "most manly project possible."

Teach, Learn, Share

My new fave thing is helping people get plants that will work for their space (inside or out) and diagnosing what is wrong with sick plants.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We've got a guest room with a pretty comfy full mattress, closet, and like 40 succulents. Pretty minimal room. We have 2 medium sized dogs, one who is a bit shy and one who will jump all over you for about 60 seconds, sorry. She is just REALLY excited you are here.

We're a short (5-min) bike ride from Nob Hill, or about a 20 minute walk. Or a 2 minute uber. We're also about a 15 minute drive from the airport. I work a typical job but the fiance is a resident at the hospital and may or may not be around depending on what rotation he's on.

We'd love to show you around, converse by the fire pit in the backyard, go to one of the many breweries, hike in the foothills, check out some creative things going on (there's usually something fun happening). If that sounds like your idea of a good time, reach out.
