About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To laugh with a full heart, accept one another because of our differences. Experience Mother Nature in different country's. Obtain various cultural experiences so I can become a more creative, accepting and well rounded woman.

ABOUT ME

I come from Alabama and I want to go EVERYWHERE!

On that note, I am taking a road trip out west! To start off the adventures I am going to two Burning Man events: First one in Tennessee( 5/22- 5/26), the second in Colorado( 6/4-6/8). I will want to stay in Colorado for a while( then....?) so I look forward to meeting some AWESOME CS'ers along the way!

A little about me....

I have a B.S. in Recreational Leadership and currently working on a Masters in Liberal Studies. I have been blessed to have backpacked Europe a few times and for a wee while I lived off the grid in the Highlands of Scotland- talk about a challenge! :)

I try go with the flow of life and respect all of Mother Natures creations! I believe that with understanding and communication our differences can make us stronger not weaker. I love music, it rocks my soul to an unspeakable level. So, it is only natural that I love music festivals of all kinds. I have been to all hipped out festivals all the way to electronica and reggae festivals! Meditation and yoga are a daily practice I believe in for comfort in many areas of living.

I love open mike nights and the freedom of self expression in any configuration! I really want to be living in a hip place full of optimism and people being able to be as they really are, after all something I love the most is diversity. With good friends I could get lost in conversation all day as there are so many good ideas to be talked about! So, if you have an idea, I got the ears for it :)

I love being outside and right now it's freezing outside so I am longing for the spring days spent kayaking and mountain biking(both will be making the road trip with me!) If I must be inside I dig local and unique coffee house and brewery’s- I feel they can show the best of the local culture.

I enjoy art so much I make some art/jewelry, here is my etsy page: http://www.etsy.com/shop/BackyardMud

PHILOSOPHY

I could go all day about my philosophy on life, but I know that labels are drugs to how I feel. Best said I go with the flow of life and believe EVERYTHING is connected. Also, I feel if I can not rule something in I can not rule it out... so with me almost anything is up for a questionable conversation! Live simple so that others may also live. I love life and there a lot of sad and happy days- that's the way it supposed to be! Stick to being yourself and and the strength you need will come from within.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Go to local meetings, and meet up with locals for Coffee or concert, go to city's with the intent to meet CS'ers, surf when I can, and load and loads of smiles!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been Couch surfing everywhere I have gone in the past four years and I have meet so many people who have changed my life for the better. I would enjoy meeting CS'ers everywhere I go as everyone I have ever meet doing so still continues to be my friend and someone to count on. In this day in age this is something of great value.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Mayan ruins of Mexico... I saw monkeys and other life I have never seen or heard. I slept, or not really slept, but rather spent a whole night in my hammock under the jungle roof listening to mother speak :p
Rings of Brodgar /Stennes/ Skara Brae in Orkney, Scotland was life changing and from that I feel more than ever connected to that "thing" in life. Living off the grid in the highlands off Scotland has taught me so many valuable life lessons!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to plant. I love to learn. I want to see the world. I want peace in little and big ways! I can teach you to laugh deeper and smile brighter! I can not put into words what "you" will receive from hanging out with me because that is your evaluation to make not mine. I will share with you many happy ideas. I can teach you how to play hippie sticks and how to make a super yummy omelette!
