Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started with CS Weekly Meetings at the end of July 2010. I stopped with CS Weekly Meetings because I was looking for new perspectives. I am glad I am back, little by little, travelling, getting to know people and making new friends.

I used to be a highly active CS member participating in meetings, group discussions, parties, barbecues, birthday parties. I volunteered to help with the cultural program for the 4th National Meeting which happened from Oct 28 to Nov 2, 2010.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first contact with it, was when my friend, who's a CS member, told me a lot about CS. His trips, events and the like. At first, I din't realize it was such a big network and nice thing. Actually, I met two CS friends of Igor Santana's... (Bianca and Bruno). We had so much fun over a dinner in my house!

I hosted:
1)Rafa García - Madrid, España
2)Maria Camara - Basque Country, España
3)Javier Herranz Viera - Madrid, España
4)Diego Caleiro - São Paulo, Brazil
5)João Fabiano - São Paulo, Brazil
6)Fiona Roy - Scotland
7)Olga Roldan - Madrid, España
8)Rafa Garcia - Madrid, España (2nd time)
9)Clementine Gritte - Grenoble, France
10)Diana Preciado - Guayas, Guayaquil, Ecuador

I surfed with:
Vanessa Campos - Mato Grosso do Sul
Sheila Cavalcante - Florianópolis (SC)
Ruan Daros - Florianópolis (SC)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was on a tournée with a play "The Ugly Duckling" in São Paulo, I met a supposed homeless in a train heading to Mauá (metropolitan region in São Paulo). He sat at my side. I thought, Gosh! This guy is going to pester me a lot. No, he didn't. He turned out to be such a philosopher, so sensitive, sharp minded and incredibly spiritualized. He gave me many good pieces of advice... One of them, was to continue art volunteering in hospitals, homes, etc. He touched me so deeply!

Teach, Learn, Share

1) I like teaching English. I have been a language teacher since 1994.
2) I am also an artist - I want to learn and teach everything related to it: theater, puppetry, drawing, sculpting, photography, painting...
3) I love cooking, specially healthy culinary.

4) Everything related to Agroecology: Permaculture, Bidynamic agriculture, Gardening, etc.

5) Storytelling! Yes it nurtures my soul.
