Music, Movies, and Books
music: mostly indie and alternative, but also some german rap stuff and electronic music. and you can always make me happy with some crappy 80s synthy pop.
the doors, nofx, the prodigy, omd, the beach boys, muse,...
there are some movies i really love, but if i had to name one, it's the neverending story. i love the book and the film since my childhood. but for some more mature stuff there would be fight club, snatch,... hmmm, mature maybe wouldn't be the right expression ;-)
and velvet goldmine, great soundtrack and my two favourite (male!) actors together in bed - what do you want more?
i won't start listing all the books that i love, that would be way too much. since i used to study english and german literature you can imagine that reading is a big part of my life. though i would be curious if anyone has read shantaram, really great book. oh, an bad monkeys by matt ruff, since i'm planning to go to sf, this comes to my mind.so basically, a lot of the literatur classes stuff like mann, hesse, kafka... but also recent american authors
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
well, as a mother this definitely has to be the birth of my child, but since this is a travelling community i tried to come up with something more world community related. i guess this is when i was in katmandu and ran out of money, but had to be back in delhi 3 days later. because of the monsoon no atm or neither western union was operating. when i stopped forcing things to happen, and just gave up to destiny, everything just turned out fine. people offered their help and everything, difficult to explain in english for me though. just an amazing experience, trust me ;-)
