ABOUT ME

I'm a person without a home, like a snail that always carries its home on its back. Right now my home is Denmark, and I love it. Here I met people who made me feel truly welcome, cared about and not alone, and for this, part of my heart forever belongs to this country.

As you see, I'm getting old and sentimental, but actually I'm still 28 and have a million years to do the things I like and ignore the responsibilities I don't like in life:) So it'll be another few years of traveling and vagabonding, and then I'll start working on changing the world or at least getting mentioned in a Wikipedia article.

My name is Khurram, and I'm an engineering student living in Graz, Austria. Extremely restless person; when i've stayed in one place for some time i start to dream about going elsewhere, and maybe this is why I enjoy traveling so much.

My list of trips is nowhere near complete, and unfortunately there are many great places that i didn't have time (and probably more of a reason) to visit yet. hopefully i can complete my map as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

It is a good way to live your life. Note, you don't scientifically have to believe in it in order to live after it. Do good things and you will feel good.

Don't be touristic, arrange events like you want events to be arranged for you when you travel. Dare to try & ask...........

Interests

I ♥ traveling and living in the Far Away, feeling stupid and lost, and uncapable of communication, then slooowwwlyy understanding something, then feeling comfortable again, and enlighted at the end about the way other people think and live...

I ♥ volunteering, teaching, organizing youth projects...it's a hobby that stays throughout my life and that will hopefully become a profession.

I ♥ foreign language!

I want to know more about:
- world religions
- peace & conflict resolution
- migration
- refugee rights...

...and work for the United Nations (or something similar but more productive) when I learn all of this

Music, Movies, and Books

Whenever I travel, I always try to watch some movies and read a book or two, set in the location I'm travelling to.

But in general:

Music: almost everything, from classical to electronic to rock.
If I had to name some popular bands as my favourites, it would probably be Janoon, Vital signs.
I like to go out on David Guetta, Shakira, Pitbull, Rihanna and Black Eyed Peas! :P

Movies: Gladiator, Robin Hood, Persuit of Happiness, Avatar, Slim dog Millioniare,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Before I started travelling, I was working a lot. I went to the job every day.
The most amazing thing I have ever done is break that loop of working and go pursue some dreams that I have had for quite some time.

To everyone that wants to go on a long trip but is hesitant to do it: just go!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching, sharing

I want to teach everything I know: from languages such as English & Urdu, Punjabi, German, to how to make some great food(all learned from others as well..), to card tricks, to stuff I just learned, like controlling a kite.
One thing I have learned while travelling is that it is just stupid to not share your knowledge.
