About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay a happy person :-)

ABOUT ME

I'm originally from the Netherlands but I'm living and studying in Milan now. I started my masters programme in International Relations in September 2018. Also I produce a podcast :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the things I love about the era we live in now is the so-called 'sharing economy'. Nowadays there are communities to share a meal, a ride, a coffee and of course... a bed! And that's why I'm on Couchsurfing, I love the fact that the internet has made sharing so much easier, and we should use that.
I could ramble on about the things I hate about the internet and this modern society, but I prefer to stick to the bright side :-)

Interests

I always hop from one interest to the other, but overall I can conclude a few subject and/or topics that interest me. I have always been interested in politics, I find it hard to grasp the finer workings of the political games, but I'm trying my best.
For lighter topics; I love maps, for some reason I cannot stop looking at a map whenever I see one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in New York City, I climbed to the top of a giant skyscraper in downtown Manhattan. We got to the rooftop and had a some beers while enjoying the amazing view, we could see Times Square and the Empire State Building.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always love to talk with foreigner about their view on the world. What is your opinion on how things work in this world? What do you think of the culture here in Europe? Anyway, I am always open to learn new things about new cultures, I'll share about mine :-)
